    These steps did not help, and I am still encountering the issue.  I have no overlclocks, the lastest freshly installled nvidia drivers, and I will crash with the same error whenever I try to get into a save game.

    I'm playing several other AAA titles for hours on end without issue.  I was excited for this game.  Really unfortuante I can't get passed these crashes.

    My error is a little different, but can't get more than 5 mins of play without it crashing:

    Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 868] CurrentQueue.Device->GetDevice()->GetDeviceRemovedReason() failed at D:\Jenkins\GAME-Ascendant-Hardening_Build\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Submission.cpp:910 with error 887A0006

    DXDIAG attached.

    Thanks for any help.

  • I get a crash after holding F on the hover vehicle and watching the loading screen. This happens every time and I've tried repairing and reinstalling the game multiple times.

    Hey Everyone, 

    Thanks for letting us know what you are running into with Immortals of Aveum, If you are still getting a crash message while playing and have not so far let us know the following information. 

     

    • Platform (or client):
    • EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag):
    • Are you getting an error message?
    • Does this happen at a specific point when launching or playing IoA?
    • How long are you playing until this happens?
    • If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
    • If on PC, please share a DxDiag and an EA app Error ID

    We can use this information, to help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate.

    Please see the below. Tried everything from clearing EA cache, disabling/enabling DLSS. Still crashes with error code 887A0006

    Platform (or client): Epic Games
    EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag): NereusHixon
    Are you getting an error message? Yes. Crashes with error code 887A0006
    Does this happen at a specific point when launching or playing IoA? Its random, but recently started crashing during the first training fight
    How long are you playing until this happens? Before it was 10 mins, now it happens instantaneously when in an action scene
    If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
    If on PC, please share a DxDiag and an EA app Error ID ? Error ID already provided above. DxDiag attached.

    Hopefully you guys are able to provide a fix soon before my refund period is over.

    • Does this happen at a specific point when launching or playing IoA? This happens every time after the loading screen after getting on the hovercraft during the Travel to Palathon part

    also tried all of the recommended stuff above like clearing cache, didn't help.

  • Same issues here, got the game today. Played the first level fine, albeit with a lot of stutter. From the 2nd level onwards (training) it's crashing constantly. It might last 2 minutes ingame, 30 seconds, or 10 minutes. I crashed 8 timesin the span of 30 minutes. Basically makes the game unplayable, gonna order a refund.

    EDIT: Upon further testing, it seems that this crash is related to using Frame Generation on Nvidia cards. I disabled it and I didn't experience a single crash since. Also, stutter seems to have been diminished as well.

  • So far works without FG. But the game is stuttering very bad, worse than before.

    You guys need to fix FG and the stutter now.

    Dat Woyked!  Disabling Frame Generation FTW!  Looks good on my side...I'm old so my eyes can't tell the difference with or without FG and I'm running a RTX 4090, so still looks great!

    Thank you!  Now I can get back to it!

  • This did not work for me. Tried disabling both Frame Generation and DLSS

    Yeah. stutter is still there, and I doubt that's fixable at all.

    Every single time the game is loading assets, it stutters. When you're in the same zone without moving and fighting for like 10-15 seconds, it's fine.

    The developers should definitively look at FG and fix it, the functionality is broken. And the stutters, well, Unreal Engine yada yada, they should also look at it, but as I said, I doubt its fixable.

  • Wanted to drop a heads up. I recently updated my GPU drivers (ARC A770) and tried again and it appears to be working now. So this issue seems resolved from my end.
