[CLOSED DUE TO NECROPOSTING] (PC) EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Not Working

Trying to install some old BF games, I hit install on the Game Pass app, it takes me to the ea app, and it won't register that I have game pass, instead prompting me to purchase ea play. How can I install with game pass, my accounts are already linked and I have previously installed several games with game pass. Why is it being so weird now.

I have this exact same issue and your support would not assist EA. 

Looking at forum this seems to be a common issue.

@ZoMbIeFuSiOn04 If you see a message asking you to purchase it, that indicates that there is a desync with the EA account and the Xbox account, or the wrong accounts are linked.

Log into profile.ea.com and under connections see if you have the correct Xbox account linked there. If you do, reset the password to the EA account and the Xbox account and log back into the Game Pass app.

This should sync it. If that does not work, we suggest reaching out to Xbox if you are subscribed to Game Pass as we would only see EA Play sub through the EA App.

@Benjones264 Which EA Play subscription did you purchase? If it was purchased on Xbox, you cannot download it on PC unless it is part of the Game Pass Ultimate version. Because there are different versions of EA Play when you get an error that says you must purchase, either the wrong one was purchased, or it was purchased on the wrong account. 

If you log into EA.com and under connections you can see the correct Xbox account is linked to the right EA account, you would then need to check which subscription was purchased.

By what you described it sounds like either the wrong account or the wrong subscription was purchased.

@Benjones264 You're right it does. We aren't questioning if it does include it or not, we are trying to gauge what you subscribed to because of the messages you get to buy it. That leads to a subscription issue, a wrong account, or the accounts are not linked correctly.

Can you log into EA.com and make sure that under connections the Xbox account you purchased the subscription on is linked to the correct EA account?

Then log into Xboxlive.com and check your subscriptions to see if the subscription you purchased is linked to the same Xbox account.

Ultimately, what it comes down to is a subscription issue, or an account linking issue. We do not control that sub since it is purchased through Xbox so we have to figure out why the system tells you you need to own EA Play.

So I made my EA account by clicking the xbox button and using my Xbox account to create my EA one. I've also tried unlinking and linking my xbox account and it still seems to not work. Do you have any other ideas on how to fix this?

@Benjones264 When you log into EA.com, under connections, do you see the Xbox Gamertag you use linked to the EA account itself? 

If it still says to purchase it, it sounds like its the wrong sub but we cant see your Xbox subs only EA Play subs. Being that it is Game Pass and not EA Play directly, got to make sure everything is linked correctly, and the right sub for Xbox was purchased on the right linked accounts.
