If you are getting connected to a server farther away it’s likely the way your isp routes you. Ea has explained this in the pitch notes and help page. Mexico City will connect to Dallas despite a server in Mexico City because of their isp. ISP routing makes no sense in terms of closest servers. The article is pretty informative if you haven’t read it yet.

As a customer it’s not my role to read up about servers and how ISPs route to them. It is my job to play a game. 

At least you are coming round to the role of servers and that we can’t fix gameplay issues at our end. 

EA is responsible for its server infrastructure and for having a viable product that works with the noise that can come into traffic. 

Im in a major city in the UK. With as good a home set up as I can get. That really should not have me open to bad gameplay. 

Well you can probably fix your issue. You are playing on wifi. If it was a server issues everyone would experience the same thing. 

Ea can’t fix what’s wrong on your end. 

Here is the short version though if you don’t feel like reading the whole article. 

EAS FC will always try to connect you to online matches on your best game data center. Although that’s often the nearest one, this isn’t always the case.

Internet service providers (ISP) generally don’t send data from Point A to Point B directly. They route this data across locations, sometimes across the globe. This can be a physical networking infrastructure limitation of some ISPs or part of their business model. These decisions are ultimately handled by ISPs based on their unique needs and situations.

In some cases, your connection to a game data center is the best connection available at the moment, even if it’s farther away. However, your connection can be routed elsewhere if internet issues impact the route that your network traffic would normally take, or if one of our game data centers is experiencing technical problems.

EAS FC uses game data centers so that someone else’s connection doesn’t impact your own gameplay. The game data center handles the distribution of gameplay information to all players.

The center collects inputs from your game at a set interval of time, and then sends this information back to everyone else in a match. This happens at the same time for all players and is determined by their individual connections.

For example, if one player is streaming 4K movies and trying to play on a weak Wi-Fi signal, their activities shouldn’t impact anyone else in that match. The game data center still sends the information back at the same time.

A game data center acts as the host of the match in multiplayer matches.

Ea already posted in here maybe post your connection report with match history and explain it to him. If it’s a server issue that everyone has I am sure ea will fix it. 

All I know is I don’t have any delay. 

EA_Barry so i suffer becouse my connection is superb, thats really dont make any sense at all. My connection is 1000/1000, 10ms answeartime, fibre wired, everything connected with cat8 cables, and my gameplay is always diffent, my players cant turn, cant pass, ai is just not working, i got one of the best connections there is and i cant play a football game ?

Doesn’t seem like it. What makes you think it’s a server issue?  Wouldn’t everyone have delay then?

Mate youre game is more or less dead where iam from becouse of youre servers, people cant play the game pure and simple.
