Evo HELP EA

I put a 50 k card cosmetic evo on my card  Kvaratsskhelia who is due an upgrade and I’ve been told by ea support he now will not get his upgrade although you are advertising this card cosmetic and it doesn’t affect any of the players actual in game stats. As a FIFA player for almost 12 years I can say that I am just so frustrated as there was no real CLARITY on this card not getting its upgrade once the cosmetic was placed on him. It’s only a card design ?  I’ve played so much and he’s my best player in my club and the whole point of playing has completely ruined my mood. All I ask is his card to at least be replaced for me in my club so he gets his due upgrades.
