EA_Vendcera been having this same problem for 1+ month. It happens whenever there's a new content update and it's unable to load. I've tried all the possible solutions and tried Wired LAN and Wifi and neither works. Only thing that works is mobile hotspot. However, after I download the update with mobile hotspot and change back to Wired Lan / Wifi, it doesn't work again.
I've reported to chat support 8 times now, and they are of no use. They state EA knows of the problem and are working on a fix, but won't acknowledge the problem publicly (forum, thread, tweet, anything) ...
