Computer is offline” error, license folder empty (ROG Ally X)
I purchased EA SPORTS FC 26 on Steam and it links to the EA App for activation.
I was able to play the game successfully before on the same device.
Now the game fails to activate and shows the error:
“We’ve noticed your computer is currently offline.”
Details:
- Platform: PC (ROG Ally X, Windows 11)
- Purchase platform: Steam
- EA App is installed and updated
- FC 26 is fully updated
- Steam online mode confirmed
Troubleshooting already done:
- Restarted EA App and Windows
- Cleared EA App cache
- Tested multiple networks (hotspot + Wi-Fi)
- Secure Boot: Enabled
- TPM 2.0: Enabled
- UEFI: Enabled
- Memory Integrity: Disabled
- EA Anti-Cheat repaired
- No VPN, no firewall blocks
Account status:
- EA support confirmed entitlements are correct
- No ban or restriction on the account
Important observation:
The folder
C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License
is completely empty, meaning no hardware-bound license is being issued to this device.
This appears to be a backend DRM / license authorization failure for the Steam → EA App version, not a local network or account issue.
Request:
Please escalate this for a license re-authorization or backend DRM sync for this device.
