Controller not working/mind of its own on PC

I have just tried opening two other games through the EA App and they were not responding and had to be closed down. I wonder if it’s an EA App thing that’s corrupting or something causing this? This is only happening to games on the EA App and no others

An odd one B7OK​, so the controller is the official Xbox one. If you try it wired is it the same as when you use the Xbox Bluetooth dongle?

I unfortunately cannot attempt it wired as I do not have the correct connector for it but it acts the exact same with keyboard and mouse anyway. Unsure what has changed as it is fine everywhere else :/

When you say it is the same for mouse and keyboard B7OK​, do you mean that if controller is off you cannot play without seeing the same issue?

That is correct. I did a full clean install of windows so when I get round to downloading it then I will attempt once more but if not then I will clean inside my pc just in case it isn’t the ea app specifically. Certainly is weird that is was fine before though but we shall see! If there’s any other ideas/suggestions please let me know and I’ll give them a go :)

I have the same issue, i just got the game a couple days ago. I have two controllers, a bluetooth & wired. They both get the same issue that you're talking about. My controller turns off for a few seconds atleast 5 times a game. The controllers work perfect outside of fc26. I am convinced its the game thats broken 

I've all tried all kinds of different settings, unplugging mouse & keyboard, reinstalling, using steam & making sure nothing extra was running in the background on my pc. No luck, i hope this gets fixed. Its my first fifa since 22 i want to like it. 

I have a similar problem. I have input delay in game and in the menus, every 3-4 seconds, the item in the center of the screen is selected. For example, when I am doing team management, the player which is in the center of the screen selected. Right at the moment that this happens, the mouse pointer also appears on the top left corner of the screen and blinks once. I have tried moving the mouse, but it doesn't help. The mouse moves to that corner automatically.

I run the game in borderless mode.

Hey darko, just a further update after the clean install of windows. It is still not working correctly as does not register the button inputs until it is selected a million times. Works flawlessly on other games like Rocket League where the mouse + keyboard are connected as well as the controller so I do not see it to be an issue with those devices. Is there anything within the backend that could be causing this to happen as it should be able to function as it has been the whole rest of the game cycle?

dont bother.. i had a similar issue with the mouse messing with the controller when playing this game. they will tell you the game is perfect and the issue is on your ends or with your controller and then stop responding. this has been an issue for at least the past 5 years with every single release. try looking it up with different years i had this with my FC 24 and 23 as well. i used to use DS4Windows and it overrides the mouse to make the controller the only input available so the game worked perfectly but they decided to ban the software saying its used for cheating. some mod is going to delete my comment probably so if you see this before there is no fix. there is no support. this issue will stay forever as it did in previous releases for PC users simply because they are incapable of making the controller the only input when you play the game.
