EA banned me on Christmas due to "Balance Transfer"
I’m writing this post because I honestly still can’t believe what just happened. I received a 14-day ban right on Christmas, with the stated reason being “balance transfer.” At the time, I had absolutely no idea what that even meant. After doing some research and reading other players’ experiences, I now understand that this usually refers to coin balance changes or so-called “irregular trading activity.”
That explanation, frankly, makes me laugh — not because the situation is funny, but because it makes no sense in my case. I’ve spent a significant amount of money on FC Points, packed good cards legitimately, and I do SBCs and normal trading every single day. I’ve also logged well over 500 hours since the game launched in October. If EA hired someone to play this game daily, it might honestly be me. I simply enjoy football, and this game is how I relax for a bit after work and family responsibilities. I don’t need to transfer coins to anyone, and I certainly don’t need to receive them from anywhere else.
The only thing I can even remotely think of that might have triggered this is that I sold several strong EVO candidates during a short period — players like Omgba and Kvia-Egeskog, Dzabic, .etc. But anyone who actually played the game two weeks ago knows those players were extremely hot on the market at that time. Selling them at 10,000 coins was completely reasonable and fully within market demand. Expecting players to list them for 200 coins instead would be absurd. I followed the market, not any exploit, and I didn’t break any rules.
What makes this even more frustrating is the appeal process. I submitted an appeal immediately, and now three days have passed with absolutely no response. The status still says, “Waiting on Studio.” Honestly, this should not be a difficult case to review. The delay itself feels unreasonable, especially given that the ban was issued during the holiday period.
Is this really how EA treats its players? I’m not trying to brag, but from EA’s own perspective, I’m clearly a committed customer — I spend tons of money on the game and invest a lot of time playing it legitimately. Being locked out like this, without explanation or timely review, is incredibly disappointing. I came back to FC after FC 23 hoping for a better experience, and right now, this situation has left a very bad impression.
If any admins or moderators here are able to help or escalate this case, I would truly appreciate it. I just want my account back asap. At the moment, I honestly can’t believe this is happening, and I hope someone can step in and help resolve it.
