EA Javelin AntiCheat falsely detects "Interception" on Windows 11 Steam Version
Hello EA Support,
I am experiencing an EA Javelin AntiCheat launch issue with EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC.
System Information
- Platform: Steam (official purchased copy)
- Operating System: Windows 11 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8655)
- Laptop: HP Victus
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
- Secure Boot: Enabled
- TPM: 2.0 Enabled
- BIOS Mode: UEFI
Issue
The game has never launched successfully on this PC.
EA Javelin AntiCheat starts and immediately blocks the launch with the message that "Interception" software cannot be used at the same time as the game.
However, the Interception driver is NOT installed.
Troubleshooting already completed
- Uninstalled DJLastNight Keyboard Splitter.
- Confirmed sc.exe query interception returns "The specified service does not exist."
- Confirmed C:\Windows\System32\drivers\interception.sys does not exist.
- Confirmed no Interception driver package appears in Driver Store.
- Confirmed no Interception keyboard filter remains in the registry.
- Reinstalled EA Javelin AntiCheat.
- Verified Steam game files.
- Performed a clean boot.
- Disabled Riot Vanguard.
- Uninstalled Cosmic Byte Spectrum software.
- Confirmed Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, and UEFI are enabled.
- Driver Verifier reports no drivers currently verified.
- The game never creates its local AppData or Documents folders, indicating Javelin is terminating before the game initializes.
I have also found multiple reports from other users running Windows 11 Build 26200.x who experience the same Javelin launch failure and, in some cases, the same misleading "Interception" error despite the Interception driver not being installed.
Could you please escalate this case to the EA Javelin AntiCheat engineering team? I would appreciate guidance on collecting any diagnostic logs or crash dumps if needed.
