EA SPORTS FC 26 won't connect to EA servers on PS5, but works on mobile hotspot

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with EA SPORTS FC 26 on PS5.

Every time I launch the game, before I reach the main menu, I get this message:

"You have lost your online connection. Check your network. You will not be able to access online features until you can reconnect to EA Servers."

That it works on a different network sure9569 means that the issue you are seeing is related to your ISP or network.

Thanks for your reply.

I've already tried most of the troubleshooting steps.

I reinstalled EA SPORTS FC 26, restored my PS5 licenses, confirmed the game is fully updated, changed my PS5 DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and restarted both my PS5 and router.

FC 25 connects online without any issues, and I can also log into the FC Companion App using the same EA account.

The important part is that FC 26 works perfectly when my PS5 is connected to my mobile hotspot, but it immediately shows "You have lost your online connection" when I use my home fibre connection. My ISP is Cool Ideas.

Does EA know of any routing issues with Cool Ideas, or is there anything specific I should ask my ISP to check?

Hi Darko, thank you for your help and for pointing me in the right direction. I really appreciate it. I followed your advice and continued troubleshooting my network. I eventually found that the problem was with my wired LAN connection. After disconnecting the Ethernet cable and connecting my PS5 to the same home network over Wi-Fi, FC 26 connected immediately and has been working perfectly. Thanks again for your assistance. Hopefully this update helps anyone else who runs into the same issue.
