FC 26 – Severe FPS Drop on First Match (GPU Stuck at 100% / Low Watt )
Since FC 26 Beta until now, I have a severe performance issue ONLY on EA Sports FC 26.
When I enter the very first match (Kick-Off / any mode), right after the loading screen finishes and the match intro starts:
- GPU usage jumps to 100%
- BUT GPU wattage stays low (20–30W only)
- FPS becomes 8–10 FPS and the game is unplayable
- I must exit the match and re-enter 2 or 3 times until it works normally
**After that, all matches work fine.**
This ONLY happens on the FIRST match, every time I launch the game.
I already:
✔️ Updated NVIDIA drivers
✔️ Updated Windows 11 / BIOS
✔️ Reinstalled the game
✔️ Deleted shader cache & profile data
✔️ Tried DX11 / DX12
✔️ Tried all graphic presets
✔️ Checked thermals – all good
**All other games work perfectly:**
Battlefield 6, Battlefield 2042, Hitman 3, FC 25, RDR2 – no issues at all.
So this is clearly a GAME BUG in match loading / shader build process for EA FC 26 – especially on RTX 3050 laptops with Ryzen CPUs.
My specs:
- ASUS TUF A15 – FA506NCR
- Ryzen 7 7435HS
- RTX 3050 4GB
- 24GB RAM
- Windows 11 (up to date)
Please forward this to the dev team, we really need a fix.
A lot of people have the same issue since Beta – we cannot enjoy the game like this.
