Game won't launch (Account specific issue) - FC 26 PC
Hello everyone,
I am having an issue launching EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC via Steam. I have over 80 hours played, so this is not a first-launch issue. The game simply stopped launching from one day to the next.
What happens exactly:
• Anti-cheat splash screen appears and closes.
• A black window opens briefly.
• The game closes and redirects me to the EA app.
• No error message is displayed.
I want to highlight upfront that I am completely sure this is an issue linked to my EA account. I have done the following tests to isolate the problem:
• I logged in with a friend's account on my PC, and the game works perfectly.
• I tried my account on a different PC, and the game won't launch (crashes).
• My account crashes the game on multiple PCs, while other accounts launch the game fine on my original PC.
Before contacting EA Support, I tried everything available on community guides, forums, Reddit, and YouTube. Here are all the steps I've taken without success:
• OS: The issue started on Windows 10, so I upgraded to Windows 11. As the problem persisted, I did a full format (clean install) of my PC.
• Account & Save Management:
• Deleted all local save data and cloud sync files.
• Created a new local user account on Windows and tried running the game from there.
• Game & Files:
• Verified game files on Steam (no issues found).
• Deleted and reinstalled the game multiple times.
• Repaired the game in both Steam and the EA App.
• Cleared the EA App cache.
• Software & Drivers:
• Updated all system drivers.
• Repaired and reinstalled EA AntiCheat.
• Reinstalled Visual C++ runtimes.
• Checked for Windows updates.
• Ran the game and AntiCheat as administrator.
• Disabled all overlays.
EA Support Response:
EA Support confirmed there is no backend or entitlement issue with my account. Furthermore, they told me there is no escalation available, redirecting me to these forums as my only remaining option.
If anyone in the community has experienced this exact issue and found a solution, I would really appreciate the help. Also, I kindly ask a Community Manager to escalate this case internally, as testing 100% confirms my cloud saves or profile are corrupted on EA's servers, and standard support refuses to help.
