EA Anti-Cheat Causing 100 Percent CPU Usage – Game is Unplayable on PC
Subject: EA Anti-Cheat Causing 100 Percent CPU Usage – Game is Unplayable on PC
I am experiencing a major issue on PC while playing EA Sports FC.
The EA Anti-Cheat process (EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe) causes my CPU to spike to 100 percent during matches. This results in severe input lag, stuttering, and overall unplayable gameplay. Menus work fine, but the moment I start a match, everything becomes delayed and sluggish.
I have verified that this is not a network issue. My system is capable of running modern games smoothly. The problem only begins once EA Anti-Cheat is running alongside the game.
In past FIFA titles like FIFA 23, EA Anti-Cheat also caused issues such as failed launches, Secure Boot errors, and false positives with basic apps like MSI Afterburner. Now with FC 24 and FC 26, the issue has gotten worse with extreme CPU usage.
This urgently needs attention.
Please:
Fix the high CPU usage caused by EA Anti-Cheat
Allow offline modes like Career Mode without forcing EAAC to run
Optimize the anti-cheat so it doesn’t overload a single core
Communicate with the community about known issues and timelines
This is not a minor bug. It directly impacts gameplay and is making many PC users walk away from the game. Please treat this as a top priority.
Thank you
