No More Mixed Teams!!

I love womens football. My wife was a professional player, so I watched a lot of it.
And of course watched tons of mens of football as well. I used to play a little too.

There is no comparison between mens and womens football. Not even in the highest levels of womens football and that's because of physics/nature (call it what you will).
I 've watched many mixed gender friendly games of professional teams (mainly for charity and/or promotion) and there is no way to compare the physicallity of men to that of women. Men central defenders devour women attackers, even if they are the smallest and fastest women attackers.

What EA is doing to this game is WRONG. It takes away the "truthfulness", the sense of the game that most people know, love and appreciate.

I understand that there are a lot of players that are not interested in football, don't know how it's played properly and/or don't even care. They probably never played the real game and/or watched one. They only want fast/small/powerfull players and EA provides just that, by (wrongfully) overpowering women football players.

But for those of us that like True Football, this is crazy! Does not make sense and it is something that, in the future, may affect the real game.

Would you like to see Pina playing for the Barcelona Mens team? She would have a hard time even concetrating from all the "grabbing", pushing, shoving, cursing, hitting that happens during a real game.
Would it be nice to have Haaland playing with the Manchester City ladies team. Who would be able to stop him??? And because Haaland plays a bit dirty (the nature of the game), he would end up with harassment lawsuits every week!

Please put an end to this!!!

I get your point about the real life side of football, the difference between the men and women's games are completely different. At the same time, this is a video game that yes mostly men play but there is also a female player base, EA does not want to seperate them off from the rest of the base so they mixed it.

A lot of people like using the female player's because they are more meta, it has nothing to do with them not being interested in football. Most people just take it for what it is, a video game that is not super realistic, and they will take anything that gives them an edge in the game.

As with real life football where most people say they don't enjoy watching the women's game, a lot of people wouldn't take any interest in playing the female game modes, which was also most likely tested when they first introduced women on to the game. Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit and in it's own way helps to promote the female game.

Yes it is unrealistic, but there are actually many reasons that it has been done, just take the most obvious reason that it adds more players to packs reducing the odds that we get something good, and increasing the odds that people use the store.

Personally, I have quite a severe dislike for the predatory tactics that EA uses, but as long as no government says it's illegal they will keep doing it. It doesn't mean they are wrong to include women in ultimate team mode, and I would hazard a guess that most people wouldn't be for or against removing them, they would just take it as it is.

  • I agree. EA have traditionally built sports simulation games. However, with the mixing of women and men it has made it more like an arcade game. We have seen this progressively moving in this direction with certain game modes (speed boost, power shot etc).

For me, I want to simulate real life football. Unfortunately EA is not delivering that in Ultimate Team any more - and haven't done for quite some time, the model is broken and it's just a pure money making machine now. We desperately need a competitor to restore some kind of balance and stop the monopoly EA has over football fans.

This sentence is on the money my friend.
It's one of the reasons the world is the way it is today. On many levels, on most aspects of our civilisation.
Nobody acts/reacts anymore. They all "take it as it is". Even this simple matter that we are discussing in this forum.

    Anyways. Be good everybody!

In reality it applies to the money and EA having women in ultimate team, but I'm not getting into something political on here. If you think about how many people focus purely on meta and are extremely competitive in the game, and include people like me that aren't really fussed, then you would most likely have somewhere around a 50/50 split on keeping or removing women from ultimate team.

There is nothing inherently bad about women being in ultimate team. There will always be meta players that a lot of people rely on, and the best will remain mostly unobtainable for various reasons. I have some meta players but also use some players for fun and female players just add another layer to that. The game will always be the way it is, and I think the bigger issue in general is how inconsistent the game can be.

  • Women football should have its own game. They doing this in NHL too just to fill packs with unwanted players. Scams scams and more scams. Please stop supporting this company by buying their products. This game is not worth full price and should be free to play as bad as it gets every year. Dirty marketing tactics. Broken gameplay, evil pack weights. Trolling us all the time. It has to stop and it wont stop unless people stop spending. The community is half toxic.

Sadly that is what the woken culture and political correctness bring to us. I support women doing what ever career they want, but overall ratings refer to football capabilities and it should be considered objectively without. If you sprint 100m in 11s you get 90+ speed. If you sprint in let's say 13s you get 80 + speed, regardless of gender. Gender equality means equally supported to do the things people want. what EA doing is actually "gender biased" against men. How come male players sprint 100m sooner and bench press with heavier weight and have less speed or strength?
