I live in northern Poland and have the same problem. I should be playing with Poles on the Warsaw server, but instead I get matched with Germans, Romanians, Ukrainians, etc. And I'm forced to play with a ping of over 40 on a server in Frankfurt or Amsterdam.
Here’s something interesting. When everything was fine and my ping was usually between 24 and 30, my opponents were typically from Poland, Romania, Ukraine and Germany; sometimes they were from the Czech Republic or Hungary. Which is in line with the region. When this problem started, I decided to test a new server in Istanbul using an app that lets you choose an EA server; I don’t know how good it is, so I can’t recommend it. Anyway, 8 out of 10 of my opponents are from Turkey. It feels as though their contractors simply overloaded one of the nodes in Europe – most likely Warsaw or Helsinki – and this led to chaos. It should have been the other way round: players from southern Europe and other regions neighbouring Turkey should have been connected to this new game server, which would have helped balance the other servers.
I’m not sure if I’m right; this is all just speculation. I hope they’ll give us an answer by the time the game is released.
They remain silent for 1,5 months, they will do nothing with this case.
I usually buy 24k FC Points at the beginning of each FC to play drafts, thanks god I decided to wait this time till the outcome of this situation.
I am a rank 2 player and elite div. But guess what, because of the ping I lost every single draft in the 2nd game. and lost 7-1, 8-1 etc .. I can’t play the game. And I played 6 drafts.. lost them all
