Ea account connection for redemption

Product: EA SPORTS FC Mobile
Platform:Android
What's your device's make and model? Samsung A53
What's your device's firmware? A5360ZHS8DXC1
What is your game version? 21.0.05
In what game mode did the bug occur? Live Event
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What happens when the bug occurs? EA account does not recognize connection to EA FC account
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 21:00

Using the new code redemption page, it told me that my ea account was not associated with an ea fc account.  my ea fc account says it is associated with my ea account and my google play account.  my ea account says its associated with the same google play account.

    Hi @shorvberg, to confirm in-game do you have an option to manage account in settings, after you linked your EA account?

    It's more complicated for me at the moment, as I used an agent's suggested solution to try to solve this which resulted in having a different ea fc account associated with my main account. 

    But yes, I did have the option to go to my ea account settings from my ea fc account.

    Hi @shorvberg, Apologies to confirm you unlinked your FC Mobile game and linked another mobile game?

    @EA_Illium The live chat agent suggested a fix from Madden would work for me with this. It involved a fresh install of ea fc on a new device, then logging in to my ea fc account via ea account on the fresh install. Instead, it resulted in the new account on the fresh install binding to my ea account. This is only possible if my ea account wasn't associated with my ea fc account, despite my ea fc account telling me it was.

    so now my ea account is bound to a fresh account that i never wanted and my ea fc team cannot have my ea account bound to it.

    Hi @shorvberg, To confirm when you started on a new device did you sign into the connected platform your have your main game backed up to?

    @EA_Illium I thought I did, by selecting ea account as sign in method. However, my ea account, for some reason, did not recognize that it already had my normal account connected. So it connected that new account to my ea account.

    My normal account still thinks it's connected to my ea account but my ea account doesn't recognize it.

    Hi @shorvberg, What was the original account you used to back up your main FC Mobile game? (EA Account, Google Play, Apple ID, Game Center, or Facebook.)

    Hi @shorvberg, Have you tried logging in with Google to see if you can restore the account, then see if you can link an new or existing EA account?

    @EA_Illium my account works and is accessible via logging in with Google. however, it thinks that it's connected to my ea account (the button is greyed out with a checkmark), but it is not.
