Mass Effect Andromeda not launching (PC EA app)

Hello,

I have a problem with Mass effect Andromeda not launching from the EA app. I am on PC from the EA app (no steam). When I try to launch the game, it immediately crashes to desktop. From what I have seen from the task manager, ME Andromeda does briefly show but crashes to desktop before even launching and I am back to EA app. I did not have this issue when the launcher was Origin if it helps.

Anyone has a solution for this? I have also attached a dxdiag file in case it helps.

For some reason, the DxDiag is unable to display the WER (Windows Error Reporting) data, which is the most important information in such a case.

    1. Hit Windows key and X.
    2. Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” or "Windows Terminal (Administrator)", whichever option is offered.
    3. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: (You can copy and paste the following cursive text.) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth
    4. Press ENTER.
    5. If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found repeat steps 1 & 2.
    6. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    7. Press ENTER.
    8. The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
    9. After it reaches 100% repeat steps 1 & 2.
    10. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: sfc /scannow
    11. Press ENTER.
    12. Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here

Also look at the Reliability monitor:
    1. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    2. Copy and paste "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER”
    3. Look if it has entries for the game EXE or EA app. > If yes double click at the last entry for the game executable or EA app, copy the info and save it to a text file.

    Hi holger1405

Thanks for replying. I did the steps you mentioned. DISM found and corrected some errors while sfc did not find any ("Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."). I also used "perfrom /rel" but it did not show an entry for either EA app or ME Andromeda.

    How do I proceed?

Please create a new DxDiag, open it and scroll down to the end of the document.
If it still looks like this, follow the steps below: (If errors are listed, load it up.)I

    1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    2. In the new Window, type or copy and paste "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" (Without the quotation marks) > Press ENTER
    3. Check to see if there are any "*.dmp" files named "MassEffectAndromeda.exe.dmp" in the ".Local\CrashDumps" folder.
    4. Zip 2 - 3 "MassEffectAndromeda.exe.dmp" files together and upload them at a free file hosting service like Dropbox, or you can use your OneDrive "public" folder
    5. Post the link here.

If there aren't any dump files of the game:

    1. Press the Windows key > Write: Command Prompt > Right click on "Command Prompt" in the search results > Run as administrator.
    2. Copy and paste:
      reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\devenv.exe" /v DumpType /d 2 /t REG_DWORD
into the prompt Window > Press ENTER.
    3. Play the game until it crashes.
    4. After the game crashes, let all Windows crash dialogues finish.
    5. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.> Type "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" (Without the quotation marks) into the new window > Press ENTER.
    6. Zip 2 - 3 "MassEffectAndromeda.exe.dmp" files together and upload them at a file hosting service like Dropbox or you can use the OneDrive "public" folder.

     Post the link here.

I tried doing all the steps above and I didn't get any dxdiag errors or any crash dumps on the CrashDumps folder.  Anything else I can try?
