Any chance in rolling back the changes made to our Skater's Appearances?

Due to the latest update, my character now looks ill. I've tried tweaking a few things around hoping it was just some sort of option with the eyes and nose but clearly it was not. Sadly, it turns out to be an unfortunate texture change.

I am truly asking if we could please roll back these changes. It took me an incredible amount of time to finally perfect a character that I really felt comfortable playing with and now I am just so bummed out and so demotivated to see how all of it can all be changed without my discretion.

I've noticed major changes within the eyes and eyebrows that they are less detailed and less bolder that they were once before, as well as a strange shading around the eyes and nose. It seems as if this anomaly is only effecting the first 3 skin tone options, I have tested this in-game and can confirm that this is the case and I was hoping I could bring attention to this sooner rather than later.

Due to these changes, I was hoping to propose a possible best-of-both-worlds solution to this matter, if I can. I was thinking maybe there could be an option within the graphics settings that would allow you to choose to render the game with the original classic textures or the latest textures, something like that would resolve this discrepancy within the community and that it would really be appreciated.

Agreed, characters look nothing like before. To the point that I don't even want to play the game of how bad it is. Skin tone super dark for some reason even at the lightest tone. I hope they revert the changes because instead of realism is just depressing. One of the reasons I loved the game is becaue of how I customized my character, now it looks completely different and the worst part is that I can't even fix it. Disappointing.

  • There's a real problem with skins tone in the patch, especially light ones, they look kinda grey-ish, it gets a little bit better with some light and shadows set to ultra but it brings a loss of fps, I hope this will be fixed before season 3

im sorry you’re going through that but I personally dont have any issues with the new character looks and honestly prefer them over how they used to look.

It's sounding to be more of an issue with the first couple of skin options. It maybe an oversight, not too sure. I'm just hoping it wasn't intentional.

If your character is a darker skin color you won't notice the changes

same, they all got the flu.
i like the new skin complexion tho, but it doesnt blend in well.
and my ginger skater is snow white normally, now she is pretty tanned.

i believe a strength-slider for skin complexion would help, like other games do - so we can do a 0-100% transparency.

but the general development of the characters is a good one, i'd cargue.

  • Agree. The players look horrible. Also they all look “black”. Like for some reason there is only 3 or 4 shades of white. Than 10 shades of black.  And if you pick a white shade they turn out black anyways ?  What is skate doing ??

  • It looks like a zombie.
    I’ve stopped launching SKATE altogether.
If this degradation hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have cared about any other bug and would’ve kept enjoying the game as before, even buying Season Pass 2.

This is the worst trait of online games: once something is updated, it can never be reverted.
