Ea skate Game

I think a few changes could make skate. feel much more satisfying.

First, the skateboard should visibly wear down over time. The graphic could get scratched and damaged from grinds, slides and tricks instead of staying in perfect condition. That kind of progression would make gameplay more satisfying and make every trick feel like it actually has an impact.

I also think the game looks a little too colorful and clean right now. A slightly more gritty, realistic street-skating atmosphere would fit the series better.

The street skating physics also feel too stiff. In the older Skate games, especially Skate 3, the movement, momentum and trick landings felt more natural and satisfying. I’d love to see skate. move more in that direction, with more weight, smoother movement and a better overall feeling while skating.

I agree with all of your suggestions, I do know they said board wear and tear is supposed to be coming but due to them not showing us a roadmap anymore we are all being left in the dark.

to me your suggestion about movement and trick landings is the most important one.  the character movement being too stiff is such an eye sore because our upper body and legs move in tandem which is not how we move on skateboards in real life because the vast majority of the movement especially turning is with our hips and legs and then our upper body follows, this is particularly noticeable with micro adjustments when steering left or right and going over sharp terrain changes resulting in our whole body snapping around rather than our legs absorbing those changes.

currently landing tricks does not feel satisfying because our characters feel weightless and when we feel weightless it removes that satisfying impact of hitting the ground and rolling away, it also doesn't help that landing if FAR too forgiving, even with auto revert off you can land completely off center or land directly on stairs and still somehow roll away which removes that satisfying feeling of landing tricks.

Another major contributor to that floaty weightlessness is the games auto detection system, when clearing a gap or ollieng over an obstacle big or small the game tries to hold your hand by lifting you up and over the obstacle and it's that extra lift and pull forward that creates that floaty sensation.  this auto detect hand holding system NEEDS to be something we can turn on or off because it removes all sense of accomplishment and that rewarding sensation when finally clearing that stair set or gap, nothing feels good when it's handed to us and this system has been turned up a notch with every single season.
