Four Months of Warnings: Why 0.30.1 Killed Tricklining, and How to Fix it.
For context, I have been warning and documenting this decline for months. Below is the history of my posts/feedback that has gone unaddressed:

Pop mechanics are essential to tricklining. | EA Forums - 13234117
Tricklining has been patched out | EA Forums - 13246407
Re: 0.30.1 Patch Notes - The "Boneless Side Effect" is killing the endgame | EA Forums - 13247534
Since the 0.30.1 patch, the gameplay has become less fluid, restrictive, and honestly, very unsatisfying and boring. By removing the depth of the pre 0.31.1 patch pop glitches as a 'side effect' of a minor animation fix, you are forcing the entire community into one specific, rigid playstyle.
I used to play this game every single day for several hours. Now, I hardly play at all, and when I do, I can't stomach an hour of playing every couple of weeks, I’m forcing myself to try in hopes of looking past a patch that killed the fun for players who enjoyed the depth those pop mechanics added.
You do not need to restrict your own gameplay to make it look 'realistic.' While 0.30.1 improved animations for some, it completely killed the enjoyment for the flashy tricklining community.
Those pop mechanics were enjoyed by people who don't even consider themselves to be trickliners.
The Solution: An 'Advanced/Legacy Pop Mechanics' Toggle.
There already are gameplay toggles and there is no reason you shouldn't add a toggle that enables pre-0.30.1 physics. This allows the realism crowd to keep their new animations while letting trickliners have the freedom to still play the game in a way they find fun and a reason to come back and stay. If adding a toggle complicates things, adding pop features back is still possible and something to be heavily considered, again, realistic players have no reason to attempt a tuck knee pop, and that is not something they would accidently encounter that would break immersion. I would also like to mention again that this game is not realistic.
Right now, Skate 3, a 14 year old game has more mechanical depth for tricklining than this new title. That is ridiculous. You're not only pushing away the very community that kept this franchise alive for a decade after EA abandoned it, but you're punishing the players outside of that community who enjoyed pop mechanics as well. There is a massive market for this level of depth, it’s exactly why the tony hawk games are as big as they are.
If EA isn't going to provide that depth, someone else eventually will. Players care about what is fun, not the brand on the box. Please, don't patch out the depth, make it an intentional part of the game. You owe that to the community you claim to listen to and the same community that has shown they will regularly play the game for a decade if the game is fun for them and inclusive for their preferred playstyle.
At this point removing those pop glitches was a choice, if you're going to make no effort to bring them back, which is what you are currently doing, it was not a "side effect", it is a deliberate decision to patch them out and keep the depth out of the game for no real reason. For once, listen to your community and stop using that phrase as a marketing slogan.
I don't get paid to make posts here, I'm going out of my way to do this, I have over 1000 hours on this game and it really sucks to see the game get purposely made worse for no real benefit, I really miss playing this game so much, please fix the overlooked decision. The solution really is simple, either add the depth back to your game or keep it in the shadow of your 14 year old title, there is more to lose by pushing away the part of your community for no real benefit when solutions are possible.
