Terrible take. Players, for our own well-being as consumers really need to get over this mindset of cosmetics being fair game for the developer/publisher to fill games with hundreds of items and charge whatever exorbitant prices they want. "It doesn't affect gameplay," except it's still part of the game, isn't it? A normal game would cost $70 and you'd get a bunch of clothing to pick from for no additional cost. But in a game like this, if you want the full catalog of clothing, that's going to run you a few hundred bucks. They're walling off content that, again in a normal game, everyone would just have free access to.

Why should we accept predatory monetization, just because it doesn't affect gameplay? I, and I hope you, are not falling victim to their scheme, but that's undeniably what it is. The reason the free to play model exists as widespread as it does is because publishers know that most people won't spend more than a few bucks, but they'll get those few people suckered into spending hundreds. That's precisely why they push cosmetics so hard, because they're fishing for the whales. And you, as the little fish, just ignore it because it's not coming out of your pocket.

You do not need to complain about a free to play game. EVER. Just stop playing it.

Worst take. Corpo bootlicking attitudes like that is what gets EA to shove anti-player and anti-consumer exploitation in their games like they've been doing with this one. In your rosy world, trash just keeps getting made even trashier and people can't complain about all the garbage because it's free. Utter nonsense.

I agree I don’t see the reason to complain, 500 rip chips is near to nothing as you earn more than that per day, I will say they need a way to keep it unlocked rather than just a ticket every 24 hours but that’s something the could implement in tv future, especially if they start bringing out more islands as then the price could become too much but for now it’s cheap and easy to obtain for free, as people need to remember that rip chips are free

Im not on a payroll, or shilling. I enjoy the game, and as an adult I dont see the need for crashing out here in the forums like this buddy.

You literally said you left for a while on your last post… so stop the cap. When i read that post i instantly thought of, your either shillin, or on payroll. 

Kinda reminds me of what CoD did. Funny enough, the decision they making are almost 1-1!

personally I have zero issues with all of those decisions and I cannot for the life of me see why anyone would get upset over it.. 

You can play, or not play. You can buy clothes, or not. RIP chips are super easy to get, daily.. 500 is nothing. You can even pay money to not deal with the RIP Chips.. or you can not even visit the island once it goes RIP to visit. Its 100% not pay to play. Everything you pay for is cosmetic.

Do the constant map updates and locations added not offer you enough fun? Does adding new tricks for free not amount to enough content for you? Is the map not filled with enough variety of obstacles and terrain to enjoy a 1-3hr skate session online? For me it does, and Ive been here since Alpha. Every month there has been something new. Just because they said they will give more options, it does not mean there is any just reason for freaking out here.. just skip it if it isnt for you. And the Grom Island is open to the public.. at all times except that minor premium+ opening (which needs to happen to provide them value for their purchase).
