SKATE. NOTES #1 NICK Z 10.7.25 GRAIL GHOULS
1. During replay sequences replay the best score or best play so we aren’t watching ourselves but instead whoever shut it down. Or a variety of ways if possible?
2. Add graff that will remain there until we leave the lobby. Would be cool if we could make our own tag or choose from a variety of super dope tags, take Inspo from mark echo getting up. Legit the best tagging artworks in a video game
3. Add filters to the lense so I can have a vx1000 style vintage look and time of day? It would also be cool if maybe there’s an emote where the character is carrying a vx1000 or an hpx2100 (both) The vx1000 emote could be the character getting low and pointing the camera on and off the board with the mk1 fisheye on it. And the hpx could be more of a long lense shot where the character is standing stationary and looking thru the view finder this would work rolling too. I’m a dedicated vx1000 filmer so this one would warm my heart. And it’s a huge part of skateboarding people overlook!! It would be super fun to make it look like we are filming lines together!
4. The map is amazing however, I feel like there are certain places that look too squeaky clean, when we are outside it’s a lot more grimey and rugged the bricks are cracked the grounds are cracked and everything is just a lot harder to skate then at a park where everything is super smooth. I love the urban spots the best but some of those spots could have maybe more trash around the grounds/street could be more messed up cars drift marks and it doesn’t have to limit the skating or make it harder in these areas, but texture wise I think it would be an honest addition.
5. This one might not slide but adding road rash and or maybe even a little bit of blood would be awesome. Dirty clothes, sweat, maybe rips in clothes if you fall a certain way?
6. Assuming proximity chat is in the works I’m leaving this here, because meeting people in real time is fun. Especially if you are already in a large group.
7. I have so many homies trying to jump in a lobby, who doesn’t? If there is a way to up the amount of people to 10or 12 who can do missions I think it would be fun even if it’s only for a few specific missions. Ideally all of them, because I want to play with all my friends, and not feel punished that I’m not able to make coin because there’s too many players. You can even up the difficulty so it’s not a walk in the park for 10 ppl to make money at the same time. Because regardless when I have 12 ppl in the lobby we all just skate 1 gnarly spot at a time.
8. I would extremely love the opportunity to incorporate my skate brand into the game. It is called @grailghouls on insta I have a g logo tee that would be perfect to put in the shop as a rare item or purchasable item, put it in an item box even. It’s a legit skateboarding company. I would love for you to take some time to check it out, because this could be huge.
9. sometimes ledges feel overly waxed like this is tony hawk or something, if that’s the case make the ledge look like it’s buttered wax. Just go outside and look at a skate spot that’s waxed. Different ledges have different levels of slide and grind because of the variety of textures and how much wax is slathered on it.
