How much does each win get you in crystals, though? If you can get it three months from now for just the usual farming costs instead of right now for 24k+, will you earn 20k worth of rewards just by beating LV reliably, with no other advantages? That's 12 individual battles in TW (out of hundreds) + at most 27 battles in GAC, but probably fewer since not everyone will put LV on D. Most will, but not everyone. And that's a lot better than what you're getting out of it in TW where most victories simply won't make a difference to whether your guild wins or loses, but it's still not always going to make the difference between a win and a loss.

I just seriously doubt you can win 20k crystals in 3 months, which means that it's not a rational decision to go for NewBo now.

I do get your reasoning, but you haven't pinned it down to a crystal value, and without a positive ROI I just don't know how many people would do it. By definition it's not "worth it" without a 21k+ crystal upswing in your winnings over 3 months. And by definition the people who buy these required toons just to get the new shiny and for no other reason will have purchased already.

It just seems like a very small slice of the population. But we can just look at how many new IG+Gs there are in 11 days and that will answer all this speculation pretty definitively.

You only need 24k crystals to 7* the remaining reqs? I need about 50k. So have you already spent about 26k on shards from shipments? If so, why? Were you expecting a 2-month cycle? I agree with you're general point about the timing making no sense based on who will jump now that didn't before. But I'm not following your circumstances.

It'll be this month and then nothing for about 6 months, because they want people to buy Bo, not farm for her. They'll see what $$ they can pull in from a second "purchase event" and then withhold access once Kel goes farmable.
