Choosing between TB’s just made the Wampa extinct

RIGHT thats the worst thing the did TBH, and really should give some type of work around for it. its literally the only challenge thats only complete-able on hoth TB. all the other challenges are just any TB stars, or any (not special) missions in TB

We need wampas to fight.

And don't start talking to me about Galactic War - I used GW exclusively to get my 500 Boba contracts filled. In the time it took to fill 500 contracts, I found and killed a total of 2 Wampas in GW. There's a concept in ecosystems biology called "functional extinction". This is when there are so few of a particular species left that it is impossible, without artificial interventions, for that species to survive even though there are a few members left who haven't croaked yet.

Wampas are so rare in GW that they'd never find each other to breed. GW certainly doesn't have a useful population for wampa hunting. Heck, I'd probably be sent to prison if I got caught with a pelt from a GW wampa, they're such an endangered species.

We. Need. Wampas.

Once this TW attack phase starts, I'll get my Dengar portrait. 50 Wampas is tough. 1000 Ewoks is probably harder.

... So I am pretty sure that Dark Side Geo TB replaces Dark Side Hoth TB, not Light Side Hoth TB.

Light Side Hoth TB is where all the Wampas are, so what you are saying isn't true.
Wampas galore in Hoth TB that no one gets to opt out of yet.

Now if you were trying to farm IPD shards, you're not getting those for free anymore, Galactic Bounties or GET2 currency.

This is why I always focused on shards first and gear 2nd. I understand not everyone started on launch. Those who started the game late will always miss out. After 3.5 years of playing I couldn’t see myself starting over. I honestly can’t imagine how hard it’s gotta be for new players.

Now if you’re an older player and still don’t have wampa or yoda 7*....then it’s more along the lines of bad choices.

I actually just 7* Wampa about a month ago and I've almost exclusively used GET tokens for him and Yoda. I was in a smaller guild until I recently took a 3 month Hiatus though.

But you have misread this post. They aren't trying to get Wampa shards, they are trying to kill Wampas with BHs for a quest.

Geo TB replaces both, you can see on the calendar where it is set to run at the same time as both. And wampa are in dark side Hoth TB not light side, specifically only 5 are farmable in the second phase special mission using bounty hunters.

Don't really care about the wampas because the reward for the achievement is so low just want to clarify.

Didn't realize it replaced both. I actually didn't realize they put it on the calendar, last I knew they weren't doing that yet for some reason.

There are more Wampas in Light Side Hoth than Dark side Hoth though. (light side Hoth faces Dark side characters, like Wampa). Irrelevant though since all BHs are dark side (which I figured out after I posted my comment, this conversation is kind of back and forth between wampa locations and farming BH quests).

@ZaneMorell , I ran into the same problem. I was 3 wampas short right when Geo TB launched. In the whole 500 contracts, I found two in GW. Not a reliable source.

If you’re involved in your arena Shard Chat, that’s your best bet. I got a friend to put in his squad after I took 1st for my payout. Just beat him over and over again with my remaining fights. Best of luck - or hold out for the Galactic Bounties event.
