- Depends on the character. I like damage, since I tend to run with Leia.
- I always put a crit damage set (+30% crit damage) and a crit chance set (+5% crit chance) on attackers. One increases the chance a critical strike occurs, the other increases the damage a critical strike does.
- Of course there is a difference.
If wedge has 50% crit chance and a normal crit hits for 10K then on average 50% of his attacks will crit for 10K
If you boost crit chance by 10% then 60% of his attacks will crit for 10K. If you boost crit damage by 20% then 50% of his attacks will crit for 12K
Non crit attacks dont change in damage. - Yeah but how are they different? If one is only a chance to inflict crit, but crit damage does inflict damage, why not always go with damage. There has to be another aspect I'm missing. Hence the question. Like why give Leia damage and not chance or wedge or EP chance?

Because if the attack doesn't crit, you don't get the modifier from the crit damage.- Ah... so if it's not a damage attack nothing happens but if you do any attack with crit chance there is a chance it turns in to damage?
- You need good crit chance too. Not much point having 1million crit damage if it only lands 2% of the time.

Critical Chance % increases the character's probability of an attack causing critical damage (shown in yellow) vs normal damage (show in red or blue). The default is around 10% with most characters and is increased with gear (AGI stat) and Mods.
Critical Damage % increases the damage dealt by critical hits. The default is 150%. This can be increased up to 216% with mods.- Ok. That makes sense. Thanks
