Fixing the mod system

I have tried a couple times to learn how to remod properly… but mostly I don’t have the time.

There is literally no way to determine if a mod is good or not unless I directly compare it to another mod… that I don’t know the quality of. That is a long ridiculous process. I shouldn’t have to remod every single time I want to use my toons for different event. I shouldn’t have to set different mods for Territory Wars and Grand Arena.

Is there any plan to make the mod system usable by people that just want to play the game?

Is there any plan to make the auto mod system usable for basic events like Order 66?

  • I would say for most events you dont have remod, you can generally get away with one set for everything. It's pretty easy to determine if a mod is good or not. If no speed at all - immediate delete. Depending on the color theres certain speed thresholds for keeping it (could depend on stage of the game too, early on you'd be desperate for anything with speed vs later game players that can be more particular). Never use the auto mod recommendations. Swgoh.gg has recommended sets for every character. It's probably one of the most important things about playing the game.

Just check swgoh.gg for character modding. It's the easiest way for people who "just want to play the game" . Copy & paste what the others do. Like Darjelo said, there's no need to remod for every single event. That's very rarely the case.

  • I don’t remod for TW or GAC or Conquest or Galactic Challenge… but I have remodded for all recent raids and usually remod for unlock events (especially if I hear that they are difficult). I have never once used auto assigned mods. Feel free to look at my character modding (ally code is 343174317). I’m not suggesting my modding is brilliant, but I’ve never found two players in my GAC bracket with better modding than me, and it’s rare I find one.

You mentioned “people who just want to play the game”, as if assigning mods isn’t a significant part of the game, but it is. You keep talking about things you shouldn’t have to do to be successful in the game, but why shouldn’t you? “Playing the game” includes modding characters effectively and I don’t see any reason why someone who isn’t prepared to do that should earn similar rewards to someone who is prepared to do that.

If you share your ally code, I’m sure there are forumers who would be prepared to offer you suggestions and advice.
