In Game Chat Notifications Returning?

Nothing good is returning in this game for now. Only if you pay 100$ they might sens you an excuse about how will they fix the problem soon.

I am not sure what testing is being done in that area or how involved the process is to flip the switch and turn them back on, but I would suspect that if it will be changed soon that it will be changed in the next big game update, possibly when DS Territory Battles or Guild vs. Guild is released.

Thoughts?

It would be nice if the guild leader had the ability to turn on/off that mechanic in the guild chat. Perhaps while TB isn't in session, the leader turns the mechanic on to see who has upgraded what, then turn it off while TB starts back up.

Any option to have them back would be nice. They serve as a great way to congratulate and motivate each other on progress. Good for overall guild morale.

I really miss these as a guild leader, and I hope they come back ASAP.

In my guild everyone is constantly 7-starring characters and getting them to higher gear levels that it's a little hard to congratulate everyone, and also individually. Someone would be there constantly congratulating everyone and not being able to keep up. Plus when new characters are released, everyone is pretty much unlocking them at the same time or within the first 12-18 hours the event is available to unlock them (mainly just the ones where you can get them to 3 stars and not Legendary Events). So there is nothing special when someone unlocks a newly released character. Also, with those things constantly showing up in the guild chat, everyone misses when someone actually posts something when it comes to discussing something or needs to say something important. It gets lost in all the 7-starring and *insert guild member got *insert character* to gear level 9/10/11 (maybe 12) or when someone unlocks a character (mainly older characters).

I do kind of miss seeing all the accomplishments, but at the same time it's kind of nice they are gone. I'm in the middle on it. I do know that each person could turn them off for just themselves and not everyone, but it's possible not everyone knows about the option in settings to turn the option on/off. But the guild I'm in, it's kind of pointless to have the guild notifications up since everyone is constantly doing something that is worthy to be put in the guild chat automatically when it happens. Unless you are a fast reader or take screenshots and read later, you won't be able to read all the accomplishments. You only have time to read the one your eyes go to first.

They were optional anyway, you could turn them off if you wanted. So why did CG make that decision for us?

It was announced when they were removed that it was due to the server being unable to handle chat usage spiking during TBs. So, unless they upgrade their server or stagger TB start times, I wouldn’t expect to see those notifications return.

I like all of the discussion we have had here so far on the topic, but I would be curious if a dev could weigh in somehow. I don't expect or need a direct answer per se, but it would be nice to know if it is on the radar at all or if it is just too low of priority to expect to be put back in anytime soon.
