Just a thought for GAC

Lot of people in gac wait until their opponent attacks first, sort of a waiting game. Makes it a little less fun and no benefit for to going first. I was thinking of having some mechanic where after clearing your opponent’s defense (full clear ships and characters), you are given the ability to swap out any of your non defeated with stuff in your roaster you never ended up using. Maybe only 1 swap per team on defense, and no swapping teams currently under attack. It also promotes having larger rosters, including ships, worked on which I believe ea wants us to do anyways.

  • GAC's biggest issue right now is 'activity'.  If opposition's attacks were blind, that may prevent more players giving up before they've even tried.  

    Which might be another plus point to blinding the attacks.  From a personal point of view, I wouldn't prefer it though.

    Yes, let's benefit the Western hemisphere in GAC. Don't the players know they shouldn't sleep? They should always be ready to hop on swgoh as soon as events go live.

  • That would only work in a very particular scenario.

    Also part of the strategy in GAC is choosing a balanced defence and attack lineup, its absolutly fair which is more than can be said for your "first person who clears can reinforce their defence".

    It also doesnt promote having larger rosters any more than it does now, guessing you aren't a late game player as when you get there you'll find you have it all anyway and only farm new stuff. 

    Anyway, as it is fine, there is a benefit to going first- if I full clear (which I usually do) then there is pressure on the opponent to at least match my effort. In the event that I don't full clear then it means I've screwed up and I fully expect the L. In the current efficiency meta I couldnt care less what they do, my focus is on me clearing them as efficiently  as possible.

    Easier solution if you want players to not wait for each other, blind them to the other players progress until the end.

    If you want to promote players to be more engaged instead of waiting to win with minimal effort then give additional rewards for each sector cleared. (This is the main reason players wait).
