Omega bug

Why does Capital Games keep allowing these bugs to remain unfixed? Just like the previous Omega Futugive bug, we are once again facing a situation where a player cannot be defeated.

I have personally seen this player exploiting the bug for the past two days. This is clearly intentional bug abuse. This same player also exploited the Darth Vader Datacron bug before, and I already reported them on this forum and asked for action to be taken.

However, their account remains completely unaffected, and they are still actively exploiting bugs. How much longer is Capital Games going to ignore this? When are you actually going to take action?

  • I mean this is not a bug but more like they don't test their game

anyways last time CG fixed this issue with Darth Vader datacron they deleted everyone's datacrons then proceed to give everyone infinite materials

It is unfortunate and needs to be fixed, but are you suggesting that a player who just uses the characters and tools available to them should be punished?

    Well,

Some websites provide advance informations on the features of certain characters and equipment, such as swgoh.gg, and some players have early access to them.

May be deal with a whistle / 0-day bug contract to reconsidering the contents of those materials ...

It's remaind me of my post: the last sentence of the initial publication. It's here: Somehow SEE is not all the Sith ... | EA Forums - 13606281

    Well,

Some websites provide advance information on the features of certain characters and equipments, such as swgoh.gg, and some players have early access to them.

In fact, even before they are available, some players may find a way to use them for purposes other than their original intended use.

However, it remains necessary to have a group of players capable of detecting them (early access) in order to raise alerts.

I was beginning to suspect as much when I posted this article here: Somehow SEE is not all the Sith ... | EA Forums - 13606281 (just read the last line of the original article)

  • You know whats worse than having this bugs? the pathetic ones like this guy in the top of my shard exploiting this to stay there even tho theres no reason at all to do that to a group of people, in serious game this behaviours gets you banned. I just got rotta and for the first time in a loooong time im getting up there to test better players, and nope.  a clown there, and if this guy can do this in a "rewardless" game mode imagine what will he do in gac or TW if this doesnt get fixed ASAP

The developer’s failure to properly test the game and a player’s responsibility for knowingly exploiting a bug are two separate issues.

If someone simply used the characters and Datacrons available to them and triggered the problem by accident, then it would be difficult to blame the player. However, if they knew the interaction made the team effectively unbeatable and continued using it for days to hold their rank or gain an advantage in competitive modes, then that goes beyond normal gameplay and becomes intentional bug exploitation.

The fact that CG previously mishandled the Darth Vader Datacron fix by deleting Datacrons or incorrectly distributing materials does not justify exploiting the current issue. That is a separate criticism of the developer’s handling of the problem. A developer making a mistake does not give players the right to knowingly abuse that mistake for their own benefit.

CG should fix the bug quickly and compensate affected players, but it should also take appropriate action against accounts that knowingly and repeatedly used the exploit to gain an unfair advantage.

  • It’s not really an unfair advantage. Everyone who engaged with the last era has Teva, and could get them at g12 for free, and Omega has been out for a while. Everyone also has the opportunity to get this datacron. Ergo, everyone has the possibility to play this way.

Its clear this interaction wasn’t intended, but all of this is working as designed. It’s not a bug as it’s not doing anything other than exactly what it says it is. If they investigate and change, great. If they don’t we will have to choose to engage in the strategy or avoid it where possible. The player is doing nothing wrong by using the available tools.

It's also reminded me the japanime "Shagri-La Frontier" in which the heroes use every unimaginable glitches of the games (KP, bugs, combi, ...) in order to win !!!

But yes, be smart and fair to change the team once payout done ...

But one thing about the capabilities of a toon: why giving a "winner's taking all" one to a toon and (a few time) later a counter which complete annihilate this asset ???

Give to the counter a random limited turntime to the annihilator: for example the instakill ...

1st time instakill, countered, 2nd the same, 3rd kill ...

It'll be interesting to "cross fingers" to have the good momentum instead of seeing the fight in an eternal loop ...

Such as Rotta datacron: in TW or GAC, you do have 5 or 3 toons in the teams (so farewell Dark Bane too). With this datacron, unless having a quick offensive JMK + GAS + CAT + Snips + GK (and it's take a loooooong time to succeed), you have to fight twice Rotta.

For info, the strategy to success : inhib Gamo taunt, CAT insta on MOB and Bane, finish off during this first 2 minutes Gamo and Greedo (or Embo) and use the last 3 minutes to finish off Rotta (which gives headache with his protection regen but counterable with GAS and CAT)

Otherwise, limit the annihilator only for the whole dedicated team (Only ISB, only Bad Batch, ...). That's it, that's all ...
