Palpatine event. Can I even unlock him?

So I'm trying to figure out where to focus my efforts based on the Palpatine event. I know I have no shot to get him starred up, but I'm trying to figure out if I'll even have a chance to unlock him and if it's worth even trying, or if I should just focus on leveling my characters as I have been. Here is where I sit on rebels

Player Level 50 (halfway to 51)
Biggs 4* gear VI (47/65 to 5*) level 50
STHan 5* gear VI (0/85 to 6*) level 50
Lando 4* gear VI (12/65 to 5*) level 50
Wedge 4* gear VI (0/65 to 5*) level 50
Luke 3* gear IV (0/30 to 4*) level 47

Ackbar not unlocked but at 40/80

My current focus is leveling Biggs to 7*, STHan to 7*, Lando to 7*, RG to 7*, unlocking Rey. I'm usually top 50 in Arena on my shard so I get enough to get two sets of character shards per day there, which I have been using on STHan. I'm currently sitting at 650 arena tokens after today but I haven't spent yet.

I know I need a 5* team to have a shot to even unlock him right? So I'm trying to figure a way to get 5 characters to 5 stars. I figure I'll be around level 60 when the even starts, and maybe 68-70 close to the final day.

I'm an iOS user, so no shot at the droid. There is no way I'll be high enough level to unlock the Wedge node before the event, so I can't 5* him. Also unlocking his node would take cantina energy away from leveling lando. I refresh twice a day, Lando will be 5* in a few days, Biggs will be 5* in a few days. Han is already 5*.

So do I get Lando to 5* and then switch to getting Luke to 5*? Or would I be better off moving to the Scarif Rebel Pathfinder and that point and unlocking him and getting to 5*?

Should I stop with STHan for the moment and try to get Leia or given that I have 40 Ackbar shards, try to get Ackbar?

Or am I crazy and I should just keep leveling my guys how I am because I have no shot to even unlock Palpatine?
