The deets in the delta lie

The fact that this is all to drive money is completely transparent now that the news about a Saudi/silver lake acquisition of EA.

The goal is to maximize profits to look better, so that the sale (taking the company private) will look even more enticing. With the company becoming private, our voices won’t be heard…this is all being done to pacify and mollify us, to eventually enact this and ensure they make a tiny profit off our backs! Packs are one thing, crons are another…this is blatant lying

  • It could be a win if ea goes private as they do not have to appease shareholders who only care about maximizing profit and returns on investment asap and do not care about the long term like with reputation or future sales or profits as much.  Steam is great for instance and they are private, imagine if they went public then steam would be ruined.

  • I don't know if there is a connection or not, but if not then this is terrible timing. Nothing is going to look worse going into a  merger/buy out then for massive amounts of users to very vocally quit. That is exactly what is going to happen if they go forward with Relic Delta. And at that point the decision to terminate the game will be a given. I kinda feel like this game isn't going to survive this merger no matter what CG does leading up to it.

  • Fun fact, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF for short) are the same group who bought up Scopely and thus MSF. Shortly before the changes to stats, release cadence, and ultimately Overpower. Which led to around 40-45% of the active playerbase quitting.

...yeah, that doesn't inspire much hope, does it? Well, let's play violin on the Titanic I guess?

  • There is a chance Disney pulls the license for Star Wars from PIF.  I do not know what their relationship is like, if PIF aligns with Disney’s interests, or if they will need to renegotiate the license.  I saw somewhere, there’s only 3-400 thousand active accounts left in this game.  They may just shutter it.  What better way to kill a game than pull a MSF disguised as a profit driver.
