I think with first order tie pilot coming as login toon, we need to be ready for movie release content coming soon. Highly likely we will need resistance and first order teams at full 7* for new toons and events. BB8 probably at 7* for the next legendary toon. That's my take at least. What do yall think?

fo is annoying as hell to farm and i doubt if ones starts now they can name it in time with the fo officer. Resistance is even worse with fin being hard farmed nowdays, lets just hope they do not require resitance tropper farm to.

There are lots of ppl with Resistance farmed but less with FO. I'm assuming FO for BB8 7* then whatever 4 other Resistance you have at 7* (would guess Finn, Poe, Rey most have already) to be used in a proposed new toon unlock event.

I do agree that we'll probably need Resistance at 7* for december. BB8 coming back in november so that we can 7* seems likely especially for those who could not 7* R2. FO and resistance have been my farming priority for the last 2 months so I hope that I'll be ready for whatever is thrown at us. :)

FO sure! 2 months with First Order login characters you better be getting that squad ready for something! I've been farming FOST since the BB8 event and havent gotten him to 5* yet, I'll set my sights in Kylo after 50 more Old Ben shards. Hopefully there will be some double drop events for the 2nd anniversary of swgoh so I can get the cantina currency for FOOfficer! Im excited for November!

We honestly can't say what will or won't be needed until it's here. But past events are not necessarily a good indication. Legendary events are very different than the one heroic event we have in several ways.

I agree of course it's all speculation.
Just think the posts that tell everyone that vets are needed and better FARM them or miss out are a little overdoard.

I just think it's better to prepare even mentally for the worst case scenario. Also think about how they were released. Out of nowhere for no reason almost two years after TFA. It makes very little sense....UNLESS for something like this.

I for one hope they are not needed.
I'll FARM them but it sucks building toons that have little value elsewhere

Then don't do it. If it sucks and you hate it, then don't. "But the new character will be very strong!" AND THAT'S THE POINT OF THE VETERANS. You build characters to be able to build better characters. That's why they give you Jedi Consular and Clone Wars Chewbacca when you start and not Baze Malbus.

Ever play Civilization? If you want math, you need pottery. If you want Rey, you need these other folks. These folks are only "useless" to you because you're an end-level player with a decent roster. If you were a new player they'd be valuable to you because:
1) They're Scoundrels.
2) They have AoE.
3) They have good kits.
