- Ship stats are like evenly spread out based on the crew power from their crew, so they get even potency/tenacity boosts and when you start out with 15% tenacity and 0% potency, the ships always have 15% more tenacity than they have potency. Basically you need to have much higher overall stats to land anything even remotely reliably other than the irresistible effects. It's honestly really annoying, because for some reason the enemy ships always seem to land things even when their potency is lower than my tenacity as well.
- @Vertigo that also irritates me. My Biggs can never ever land a target lock on the opposing Biggs, but he can always on me. It's like your own tenacity is always 0. And Biggs actually has some potency (less than his tenacity, but still non-0). The only target lock that is truly reliable is the guaranteed one from Bistan (or presumably Vader).

Yes, all ships have exactly 15% more tenacity than potency (at least the ones that apply effects) because the way the stats are distributed you get an equal number of potency and tenacity added to the ship. Which makes it rather hard to apply almost any effect unless your target has tenacity down, or you simply have a much better geared/leveled ship.
Ships that don't apply any negative effects have 0% potency and an unrelated tenacity %.- I bet the hardware thing that's coming soon will be like mods and will probably fix this issue
- Yep, the fix will definitely involve grinding or spending. ;-)
- Yeah, my Sun Fac never lands his target lock, and other target locks get resisted enough to become unreliable unless it's a guranteed debuff.
Tarkin capital ship will never truly be most effective until there is some way to boost potency, at least fro future empire ships. - They want everyone to feel the pain, then when they release the droids or other ship equipment (the little box we see on the ship screen above the stars) we will be happy to the "ship mods" and grind and grind, while they laugh and laugh.

LMAO... Probably 100% correct. "Kyno;827202" wrote:

Thats probably true the devs always seem like master manipulators? They remind me of sidious.- I just use Fives and Bistan's U-wing to spread locks around and AoE spam using them.
