I ran 11 tests of JTR mind tricks against a JTR with the zeta. Obviously not conclusive from a % perspective but it seems pretty evident the behavior:
3 times - Offense Down only
2 times - Speed Down only
3 times - Offense + Speed Down
2 times - Ability Block, Speed Down, Offense Down
1 time - Daze, Ability Block, Speed Down
0 times all four were applied
0 times none were applied
It definitely appears to be evaluating each one. The number of times not applied appears much higher than normal resistance against other toons or JTR with no zeta.
At 11 tests, there is only a 0.362797056% chance for it not to have procced ANY of those times. Since there is 0 cases where all 4 are applied, your tests give a 99.6% probability that it runs the check individually instead of all at once, and doesn't apply to debuffs further down the chain.- scuba75Seasoned Rookie

Yes there are limitations to the experiment. However, testing against an JTR without the zeta would probably give you enough evidence for comparison. After all, we are just looking to establish that for a multiple debuff action the chance of the cleanse is higher than 40% because it is checked for each debuff. Unless you believe that resistance is very high I don't think you would see the results above otherwise.
It is easy test (if you can find JTR with the zeta to go up against) and you don't have to pay attention to the TMR
There is 4 possible debuffs applied all 4 can be resisted
so if you get no resists but only a couple applied that means the zeta cleansed them
That is why a video of it would be useful. The TMR being un-resistable just means any resisted message popping up applies to the debuffs - Are you....a genius?

I hate myself for that and would downvote myself if I could.- I do think the question of a potential (although unlikely) infinite loop of zeta vader dot's and rey cleanses is something that needs to be answered by the devs. Very interesting question there.

I didn't say angel but somehow your quote appears so. Anyways I was complimenting OP for pointing this very subtle mathematical issue"scuba;c-1412720" wrote:

Thanks for the clarification. I misunderstood the TMR part."Anakin_Skywalker;c-1412777" wrote:

That's because I changed it. It's the "Fixed that for you" thing but I didn't consider it fixed.
Just a joke."scuba;c-1412769" wrote:

Wouldn't it be great if we could simply get a clear description of game mechanics from the devs? I mean, why all the secrecy?
To me it seems they never expect the players to go into to much questioning of these things.
Poor me I wonder about these tiny details ALL the time. Thank you all to your responses though!
One important thing to point out, like most others have said, there’s separate potency / tenacity checks for multiple abilities that inflict multiple debuffs, that’s why a good chunk of the time all 4 aren’t appled (There’s roughly a 48% chance at least one is resisted).
From her zeta it says “When Rey suffers a debuff, she has a 40% chance to to Dispell all debuffs on herself.” So would make sense then that she would have a higher probabilty to cleanse herself if she suffers multiple debuffs in a single turn. But you have all brought up another question...where in the line of debuffing does cleansing occur? does it happen at the end of the turn or only after that specific debuff?
Maybe @CG_Kozispoon could provide us with an answer for this.- The probability wouldn't actually change. 40% is 40% is 40%. She would just have more rolls on the RNG table.
