This is because he routinely does more damage against low defense enemies, and does more damage with defense penetration up. Regardless, Using swgoh.gg to calculate damages, my Bistan (3 total G12 pieces away from max) should be doing 26k damage on his basic on a non critical hit, 44k damage on his turn during a critical hit, and 70k damage while assisting on a critical hit under Ackbar lead. Since he ignores defense while in stealth, these damage numbers should be consistent no matter the opponent, within the damage variance range. I've attached 3 photos from the same battle that show something is off. We have a 26k non crit during his turn, a 32k crit during an assist (that's the bugged one), and a 71k crit during an assist. Something is wrong on that 32k crit unless I am missing something.Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Thanks for the video, looking in the backend at how Bistan's U-wing basic works as compared to Defense Penetration Up, there might be an issue. I've submitted a ticket for review with the game team now.

I have seen the exact same thing happen, sometimes getting 27K crit while stealthed on HT and other times getting 60K+ with all the other conditions the same.

Still a thing (ignoring defense) since every point of damage might matter. In fact I might try out some team comp without Falcon that relies on stealthed Bistan being called to assist by Cassian to take out a Falcon.

Either "ignore defense" isn't setting the Armor/Resistance to 0 (thus letting DefPen reduce it even further), or DefPen can reduce A/R levels to negative values, further increasing damage.

For the ignoring armor part, here are a few screenshots showing significantly reduced damage against HT compared to an attacker when defense penetration isn’t there.

Ok, so I got some help from Reddit (it’s crazy that the mods on your own forum won’t let me discuss this there to try and figure things out), and I found that some of the “missing damage” is because Bistan doesn’t get the 100% crit damage boost from Home 1 during assist initiated by Falcon on his own turn. I’d never actually thought about it still technically being Bistans turn.

So I believe the only bug here is that Bistan doesn’t ignore defense when stealthed like he should. You can see this because he does more damage against low armor targets and he does more damage when he has defense penetration up.

Hey, so I've ran the following test:

Bistan's U-wing basic ability "Opening Move" used against the same enemy target multiple times making sure there are no buffs or debuffs interfering with the damage numbers.

What I confirmed is that the attack does deal more damage (for both normal and critical hits) when Bistan's U-wing is Stealthed.

For it to be a valid test, the damage must be observed and averaged for normal and critical hits separately, the attack to be used against the same enemy target (so there wouldn't be any variations in the defense values) and making sure that there are no buffs or debuffs which might modify the damage or defense.

A video might help look into it further and analyze specific squad combinations, battles and buffs/debuffs to find out if there is a bug.

So someone on YouTube found the problem and I wanted to relay it here. The mechanics page on swgoh.gg says Bistans attack adds 999900% armor penetration to his attack. The problem is he has 0 armor penetration, so that is still 0. Either the mechanism for ignoring armor needs changed or Bistan needs to be given a small amount of natural armor penetration.
