Can't complete 1st episode quest

I completed the Huyang Marquee Event Tier 2 before unlocking episode quests. I completed the Tier 2 the second day on the App and today on the PC version, but I still show as not complete...which means I can't complete the Chapter 1 quest line. I did an in-app EA help chat, but it's been less than helpful; they just pointed me to the soft-lock article and how to reinstall the app. Ally Code: 956-466-849
