Sims: Legacy crashes upon opening
They said they patched, but I just tried getting in today and it's still crashing the moment I open it. Furthest I got was to the neighborhood, but when I tried creating a Sim it crashed immediately :(

I wish this could be fixed
Yeah, me to. I wish they fixed this game because I dont want to refund it.

I just try this one its work.
I'm able to play a few seconds of the actual game before it crashes. It worked just fine for five hours. Then it just kept crashing periodically to now just crashing right away and not allowing any gameplay.

After tinkering around with this for a while I think I figured it out. I was having the same issue. No neighbors showing with an empty lot and crashing. Too fix this, do the following:
Go to:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims Legacy Collection
- Copy the folder named "UserData"
- Paste "UserData" in
C:\Users\"WhateverYourUserNameIs\Saved Games\Electronic Arts\The Sims 25
- Open Sims and it should have the neighbors and tutorial now =]This issue should be resolved now. For anyone still who is missing any neighborhood data (sims, lots, whatever), or whose game is crashing after the initial video but before loading into a household, you can try reseting your user data. If you're not attached to your save, please go here:
C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\Electronic Arts
and remove or rename the "The Sims 25" folder. This will reset all your in-game progress, and the files and subfolders should populate as normal now.
If you still see missing neighborhood data after a reset of the Sims 25 folder, please post in the thread linked below stating what is missing and what platform (EA App, Steam, Epic) you're using.
