it updated recently after being 10 years dormant. on my macbook it says I do not own it. But on my purchase history which for some reason has another user id I do have it. EA and thesims3.com have different names could that be it? How to merge accounts if so.

agallag2017 Please try installing the world into a clean user folder. Move the Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, which will remove, but not delete, your saves and other user data. Open the launcher to spawn a clean folder, then download only Hidden Springs and see whether it installs.
If this doesn't work, please clarify some details. When you sign into the Store, are you using the same email address and password as you do to sign into the EA App? If not, do you own the game in the account associated with the Store content?
I have a new computer now and it just says I do not own the hidden springs but I clearly purchased it already... twice.
I do own it on the same email address too.
