Launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3

Clicking the 3 dots doesn’t work for me because it will say my login information is invalid when I know it’s not. When I have gotten logged in by clicking forgot password, the launcher will open when I click download in purchase history and well we know what will happen after that.

I’m having this issue too. The launcher doesn’t let me log into my account however I can log into it on the website. I downloaded Riverview from the Sims 3 website and it shows that I have it, however it doesn’t download and when I try to download it the launcher crashes and when I open the game Riverview doesn’t show up anywhere. I’m also on a MacBook Pro recently updated.

• This is truly disappointing and has tainted my perception of the EA Sims franchise. This issue has persisted for what appears to be an entire year, yet no resolution has been provided. I recently purchased the game today and am considering requesting a refund. This situation is incredibly frustrating and has left me deeply disappointed. 

I’m experiencing the same issue. Did you ever manage to resolve it? 

I don’t think they have any.  I have figured out what’s kind of wrong, but every time I try explaining it to the help, it seems they don’t understand.

If you the worlds years ago there might not be anything to do. I had bought Hidden Springs, Monte Vista and Barnacle Bay years ago, and they were registered in store.thrsims3.com under purchase history, (they did not show up as registered on my page, but that does a lot of my expansions not ether.)

for me it only works with stuff registered and purchased after 2023, (thinks that is around when the EA App came) so I ended up buying the world combo and that worked, and then weirdly enough barnacle bay started working.

you can only download stuff (with a few exemptions) if it shows a blue download icon on the products page (not purchase history)

So with that information.

open your sims game and start the game,  when you come to where you can pick your recent game of start a new (main menu), you have to login. When logged ind click on the 3 dots in the left down corner, and open download menu, and click on install on the world and other objects.

so with that said

every limited edition think you have gotten with the game cannot be downloaded if registered years ago. And you can only download regristation gifts, if the game is registered on the main page on store.sims3.com even though it’s registered in the ea app.

Everything bought with points prior won’t download and I think EA don’t care. I have used around 4000 points through the years and that just bad luck even though I can see I bought the things on store.thesims3.com.

What's the ETA for a fix? I purchased 3 worlds that I can't install in my game because it crashes when I click the download button. I wouldn't have purchased them if I knew about this issue. Weird to advertise a sale for packs that won't show up because of this bug.

I have the same problem, but some of my content I can download in the launcher. The weird thing is, that I can see everything I bought over the years when trying to download in game. And when looking at the sims 3 store it is also shown under where I have bought the things over the years. For instance it would let me download Riverwiev but not Monte Vista, Hidden Springs and BarnacleBay, there are all shown under things I have bought (theese are redeemed with codes), but they are not shown on my front-page profile (the sims 3) as owned. The same with a lot of the Expansionspacs (are not shown on the front-page profile in the sims 3 store), but they are shown in EA-App.

I figured out that the objects in the purchase history I can click on, and go to the objects page, and it says download right away, also can be downloaded through the sims (in game).

But some of the things are not properly registered in the sims store, so when trying to download things, you have bought, but when you go to the objects page, it doesn't say owned, cannot be downloaded (in game). That is even though that you can see them in game and can click on download, but it is saying download fail every time. 

So I actually do not think it is only a MacBook problem, but also specially a sims 3 store problem. And many have bought the things 10-15 years ago, and the old things probably and registered, because of the sims 3 store- glitch.

Does anyone know how to get your stuff properly registered? 

Ashleigh_2291​  Can you sign in at the Main Menu?  You don't need to do so at the launcher—it's not the cause of the launcher crashing and is not required to use the Downloads Dashboard.

If you can't sign in at the Main Menu, open Keychain Access, in Applications > Utilities, search for sims3 , and delete any entries you find, then try again.  If that alone doesn't help, repeat the process, but additionally, open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads and delete [your email].bin.

Yes  its a mac - When I open the launcher I cant click on "downloads" - it crashes straight away. I also cant log in on the launcher - it says "null" when I log in. Have removed characters from my password as suggested and I know its the correct email and password.
