Launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3
Game launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3, maybe someone has ideas how to fix this problem. I play in Mac. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled but unfortunately it didn't help. I bought a new world - Roaring Heights Gold Edition but I can't download it in my game when launcher crashes.
I've bought several worlds during this summer sale. It's so frustrating because I can't install them now. Once I click the 'downloads' tab, the launcher crashes and EA app pops up.
To those who also have this problem, there is a way to install them: clicking the downloads tab inside the game main menu :
Then u can install your content here:
Once u click the 'install now', the launcher will pop up, but still-- don't click the 'downloads' tab and also 'installed content' tab of the launcher, because then it will still crash. Just wait for a few seconds and when u switch back to the game, the status will change to 'installed'. So u can continue with the next one.
This is just a temporary solution. Hopefully it is helpful. I still hope this issue can be solved as soon as possible.
I have the same issue – the launcher crashes every time I click the downloads button. It worked fine before I updated my operating system. It is really annoying that I paid for all this stuff from the store which I can't now install through the launcher.
Im having the same problem also. When I opened the sims 3 launcher it plays fine but I can't install anymore store items or custom contents. It keeps on crashing whenever I clicked the download button of the sims 3 game launcher and is getting really aggravated. Its seems it so many issues with it these days since the new ea app is updated.
The Sims 3 Launcher has been giving me major trouble on my MacBook Air M1 (2020) with macOS Sequoia 15.5.
The launcher always crashes and the Downloads tab won't even open when I place a.sims3pack file in the Downloads folder, whether it's official Store purchases or custom material. I've tried windowed mode, restarted the game, updated macOS, and cleaned my cache files, but to no avail.
Sims 3's 32-bit launcher appears to be incompatible with contemporary Mac configurations, particularly those with M1 CPUs, yet EA support keeps providing me unhelpful basic steps.
Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated. If converting files to.package format is the only option, I'm willing to do it.
Thank you ahead of time!
