The Sims Revival: Remakes & Requests
Sul Sul, everyone!
I’ve been feeling incredibly nostalgic for the older entries in the franchise lately and wanted to share some thoughts on what I’d love to see brought into the modern era—especially for us console players who don't have access to mods!
Dedicated Remakes: The Urbz & Castaway
I would love to see a remake or a spiritual successor to The Urbz: Sims in the City. There was something so unique about that atmosphere that we haven't quite captured since. I think for me it was some of the goth characters such as Beelzebub.
Additionally, a remake of The Sims Castaway is high on my wish list. While Jungle Adventure is fun, it often feels buggy on console, and I’d love a polished, standalone survival experience built for current-gen systems.
Bringing Back Zombies (The Undead Return!)
I have such fond memories of Zombies in past games, and I’d love to see them finally make their way into The Sims 4. They add a "wicked" layer of chaos that the game is currently missing! Also hybrids would be a totally wicked addition to The game as well. Example; [Vamp dad] + [Fairy mom]= Famp or Vairy (obviously don't call em that, or do) Or a [mermaid mom] & [Vamp dad]= Vermaid. You get the point.
Animal Additions: Otters & Pandas as pets!
As an animal lover, I am practically begging for Otters! They are my favorite animals and would be a dream addition to our coastal worlds. I’d also love to see some Panda representation—whether that’s through new wildlife or themed Build/Buy and CAS items.
Why I Play;
The Sims has always been a powerful outlet for me. In real life, I can’t have children, and the game helps me navigate that pain by allowing me to experience those milestones through my Sims. This is why I'm so passionate about seeing more depth and variety added to our gameplay!
