No intent to cast aspersions, as we all can have slight bias on how we think the game should be.
But I personally do not understand the appeal to ultra realism, especially for the Sims franchise. I notice that once in a while someone will ask for mods like Wonderful Whims to be added to the game officially. That sort of thing would put me off the game.
I understand the appeal to lower some of the absurd from the game for some, but ailments, IMHO, were overly nerfed. Especially, after you can turn them off. Limiting occults to their respective worlds I think is a reasonable request, and I do know some players buy Vampires just for the BB, as Victorian/Gothic theme is very nice even in a non-fantasy themed game.
But on the other hand as an occult player, and love the whimsy and quirks of the Sims games. I want more fantasy and science fiction—I feel we don't have enough.
