Why don't we have tweens in the Sims 4?!

Tweens would be such an useful and fun add to the Sims 4, because child Sims are short and when they age up they suddenly become tall as a Slenderman like wth. And im not saying the game sucks or anything I love the Sims 4, but ever since we got infants it made me wonder why don't we have tweens. Or then just teenagers should be shorter or the height of teenager Sims and up should be adjustable even a little bit. I mean is this a stupid thought and is it actually anuseful or does anyone else think the same way.

  • Lots of people are asking for it, if you wnat to see them you can use "Tweens" on the search bar of the current forum . I think it's a great idea since is the only way we could have ""Teens"" having a proper height, and not the that abrupt growth.

  • To me personally it doesn't matter with the teen height I wanted Preteens in the game ever since Sims 2. Childhood always acted real young to me and teens always acted older I wanted Preteens to act like both because that's part of growing up. Like Preteens can cook like light stuff, still play void critters but also play basketball, lounge in the hot tub, exercise but can't cook a full meal, date,

  • I do believe that there is too big of a gap between the child and teen life states but personally tweens would be too close to either one and not a mix of both. What school would they go to? How many traits can they have? What skills can they have? I would love if they implement this to be a fair in-between of children and teenagers but knowing them, they won't. Infants are still fairly new compared to the gap between them and toddlers, and we still don't have much for infants in the vanilla game. I know tweens would make the game more realistic but I don't think it will work with the lack of flow between life stages.

School wise they would go to middle school aka junior high school as the Americans will say, work on regular skills like teens and up but just limited also have traits like rebellious trait, or moody trait, puberty trait, hanging out with friends more then the family. Not wanting to play with toys as much, talking back to parents a lot more, stomping up the stair,  slamming doors, having attitude, starting to get into make up, discovering what they like as far as likes and dislikes. Discovering who they like.

Also with the there's no difference between kids and teens that same statement can be said with YA and A what's the difference between them too?

  • I don't want another life stage tho. I don't care about the kid stage or the teen stage 😭😭 like let me make them a young adult and get on with it

Do you like playing with the younger sims younger than YA? For myself I like stories progressions feeling my Sims fleshed out and I'm a be honest I play with aging off so it feels more realistic I used to play with I aging off and I feel like in the Sims 4 they age faster then previous games. I like to explore more with my Sims and with the tween Lifestage and I explore, discover, and even story tell with my Sims.

Tbh no, I don't rlly care much abt the child sims. I like younger than child, and older than child. So I like teen and toddler and infant and such. But still, I'd rather get to the adult stage where they can do more story-wise because they can move places, buy properties etc
