I will give 5 ways in which Dream Home Decorator can be improved.The renovation should fail if Sims leave a home without basic living items including:Enough beds for each Sim on the lotA refrigerator A toiletA sinkA trash canDoor to get inside the locationBusiness lot required itemsThe renovation should fail if trash, dirty dishes, dirty laundry, or broken objects are left on the lot unless the client is a slobThe renovation should fail if you delete too much of the household's belongings or decrease the lot value too muchObjects should be better organized into style categories. Some styles are missing a lot of objects and are hard to work with in the game. Also, some objects are miscategorizedThere should be more variety of the responses you can get from clients. Right now, the responses seem too generic and repetitive.

One of the worst disappointments to me was that, well... your clients or the game have absolutely no idea what "a renovation" is:You are called to make a kitchen renovation for the Pancakes. Bob says he loooooves gardening.Eliza says she hates cooking with passion.They both reveal they really enjoy playing the guitar.You send them away, take the biggest hammer you can, demolish the entire corner of the house and remove the kitchen altogether.With the freed money, you give two planter boxes for Bob and ten luxurious guitars to the couple.They now have no kitchen.Eliza's bedroom is about to crumble to the ground where it's hanging over Bob's planter boxes where the kitchen once was.They return to see their renovated kitchen, cry with joy and pay you extra.The game does not keep any kind of track about what "a kitchen" or "a nursery" or "a level renovation" is, you can just demolish the house and put gnomes in a row. The likes and dislikes of the Sims in households are also a massive issue (I have written about this in length in the past) AND may directly interfere with the renovation you are asked to do."Renovate my kitchen, I hate cooking." "I want to take care of my baby while mixing drinks." "I need a garden and BOY do I hate gardening." "My office needs a makeover. I am a serious man, however, and despise comedy. Fun things can be done at a desk, on a computer. Thus, do not give me a computer, or desk, or fun."

@simsplayer818 The furniture categories baffle me too. They don't make any sense gameplay wise or from a design standpoint.

This pack had so much promise and with some work it could still be great but it feels as if it's just been dropped and left without the big initial bug fix it needed.The modular furniture is such a massive problem with slotting issues and vanishing furniture. People have been piling on complaint after complaint and still have no answers.The career can be a tricky one with failure for no reason it seems.I find the furniture categories really confusing and it's a subject I thought I understood since I come from a family of pattern makers and carpenters and been involved in renovations IRL. But the designs and styles that customers suggest leave me thinking "pardon?" I know what Mission furniture is because it's in the name of the items but some of the others are a bit confusing, maybe different countries call them different names. So maybe we could have something similar to the retail/apartment requirements category where in build mode it takes you straight to a list of required items from the top left panel. So if you have to have something it shows you a selection of say elevators or cash registers. Except for DHD it would be the various furniture types that clients have suggested. If that makes sense.It always seems to be the same clients asking for refurbs as well, I've lost count of how many times I've decorated Partihaus. But it does now look fabulous... even if they are an ungrateful bunch and insisted on garish colours. I gave them a bar, I gave them all en suite rooms, I gave them a fancy shmancy DJ Booth but did they thank me? Nope not once in the 10 times or more I've done their place.I know there are some items that unlocked with the career but I'd love it if some actual furniture colours were only available from the career. So to get a sectional sofa in a certain colour for example it would have to be part of the redesign from the decorator.It needs major fixes though and I hope they haven't forgotten about it or abandoned it altogether.

@jpkarlsen The pack is supposed to be based on the renovation TV shows. Usually, when they redecorate a home, they fix what's broken in the home. They also sometimes give new appliances.

@PatrickClSim3Low That would be cool. The sad thing is we are stuck with recycled animations.

6. Door to get inside the location
7. Business lot required items
The renovation should fail if trash, dirty dishes, dirty laundry, or broken objects are left on the lot unless the client is a slob
The renovation should fail if you delete too much of the household's belongings or decrease the lot value too much

They could add a house flipping aspect to it after say level 5-7 and also maybe add house builder as part of the pack too. There wouldn't be much more to add for it and everything is already in game except fixing up the menus ect.

I wouldn't want this, I enjoy actual decorating. Perhaps OP would like EA to create a Get To Work cleaner/housemaid job for these things instead of dumping it on the decorator job.
