630 Medina Studios Not Placing Correctly [CL]

I've had that happen, just with the apartment across the hall. I redid the lot in another save and when I went to install it in the new save, it wouldn't go. Did exactly what you are describing. So, to fix it, I went back to the original save and deleted everything along the wall that abutted up to the apartment next door. Just has to clear a strip along that wall 1 tile wide. Then saved it and tried to install it again in the new save. This time it went. Once it was in, I replaced all the stuff I had deleted. It's a pain but it worked for me, so I suggest you give it a try. You should be able to place the room on a vacant lot somewhere, make the changes and then save it to your library as a room again. Then try to place it again.
