Blast from the Past, Magnolia Park lot broken, Residential Rental?

So I had my Magnolia center park lot set up as a residential rental with 4 units. Tried to go to and was met with game error. I can see lot in build mode (from map.) I can also enter the households on 3/4 of the units. I can visit the lot at 3/4 units. What i cannot do is enter the 1st unit. I've tried all of this having evicted tenants and visiting lot. Can't open unit 1. I've tried with and without mods. I fear its a broken save issue. Works on new or older saves except for lot 1. I'm hoping that this is just a glitch caused by the event and that hopefully in two weeks when it disappears fully from the UI. This is the nth time I've restarted an entire save file because of lot corruption... 

I also tried; evicting unit 1 tenant, going into BB, making unit 1 a shared space or just fully deleting it. That worsened it. I can no longer open any of the units.

I've also tried evicting all tenants and turning the lot into a generic lot. It still didn't work and created an odd glitch where in other saves (residential rental magnolia park) where the UI is messed up and it says the lot is generic but there are units and people living there.

I assume this happens because the game tries to spawn Emitt there but when loading that lot it fails to recognize its a residential rental therefore needing to choose a unit to load into. So by default it glitches the first lot.

However I've completed the event. Does emitt still try to spawn there even after finishing the event? I'd hate to wait until the event is over to see if this is fixed because in the meantime i don't want to make progress on gameplay and stuff just to lose it when i have to start ANOTHER save file....

Worst case scenario if it doesn't go away and i don't want to start over (i dont) ill turn the 1st unit into an underground basement unit and just never try to visit it. but that sucks because i wont be able to take it off residential rental. maybe unless i like uninstall for rent but that's a whole nother headache. i feel like that will only make it worse if taking it off RR now still made the lot unusable.

i have backups I've checked and tried this with. It's still broken except to when i get to a save file where a tenant has never been put on the magnolia park lot. its still a residential rental though just no household has been placed there.

I use the TOOL mod and the Blowtorch/Flamethrower mods. I just noticed that when i open the backup saves , all of the stuff that was placed with TOOL is gone. So from this I'm guessing that since the event, when i tried to load that lot, the game tried to get the original willow creek area files back (hence deleting off lot objejcts) , i assume that's why it works when i load in BB mode but not in Live mode. live mode is still being used as a stage for the event (Emitt's presence) whereas BB is untouched by the event. 

So i tried to repair my game files (first thing i shoulda done ik) EA app crashed unexpectedly... not a good sign. i haven't had that before when repairing.

first starting w the save that works to see if my tool mod stuff survived. it did not. which, i've seen before off lot objects still being there once original game files are in. stuff like trees n buildings will just overlap.

next. loading into a broken save. opening the broken unit on lot in BB. tool mod stuff not there. loading into household. the game failed to load. loading into different unit. loads w ease.

new troubleshooting idea. new save. magnolia park turned to residential rental (2 units) in BB. go back to active household n try to visit both. both work. back to world map. move sims in. (this is the difference between saves that work vs dont work) try to load (both with tenants and random sim). both work.

sooo. maybe my save is once again cooked. mind you this all started once i got to the part of the event where it told me to visit magnolia park. before that, i cant remember specifically but im pretty sure i was able to visit that lot in early parts of the quest (watch news-ask about emitt) really regretting entertaining EAs event thing. i usually cant be bothered to complete quests but this time i thought i'd try to play w EA. sigh

im running out of ideas troubleshooting this. 

Do you think it'll fix itself in 14 days? quite a while to wait to know if my game is screwed or not...
