Blast from the past was a bust

I played through the event all at once, days before it ended, at first Week 1 rewards got unlocked easily as expected, but upon finishing the event and saying bye to Emmett... the event panel isn't visible in-game or the homepage... making it impossible for me to click and claim the rest of the rewards....

I tried everything... restarting, restoring, reinstalling, reopening, toggled the online thing on and off... never used a mod... computer's up to date... tried to reach EA customer service to see if I can at least get to download the items I fairly unlocked as per their rules, but to no avail... I just get trapped in an endless loop of unhelpful self-help through their Q&A's section. Going in circles and getting no answers and no help.
It's so disappointing, it might be the last time I'm touching the game in a long while... and I had already saved up for a few packs (It did shake me out of a Sims splurging trance and I ended up putting that money to good use).

Has this issue happened to anyone else?.... did they get it resolved through customer service/tech support or you just gave up?
