cant click daily logins

I have the pop up on my home screen for the daily login event but I cant click it? The days are counting down, and i can click other things in the home screen like the video explaining how the logins...

I'm a part of the group that has already had the new daily login feature added, and as much as I dislike this change I'm not going to pass up on free stuff—but when I click the banner with the freezerbunny on it to try and claim rewards, as the video says to, nothing happens. No pop up with the items appears. The new trait shows up in CAS but only if I randomize traits, I can't select it, and nothing else is in my game. I've tried to attach a clip of my attempts to click it. I've reset the EA app and the game itself, updated & repaired, and removed mods. Nothing.

Try the following

Close the game
Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
Repair the game
Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
Start a new save game
Check if you still have the error
Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

It works until you download mods again. It let me get the first item. I then redownloaded my mods, and surprise surprise now I can't click on it again. so not a real fix if it just immediately breaks again the moment we redownload our mods.
