Can't get food from the fridge??

For some reason my sims cannot for the life of me get leftovers from the fridge?? I've tried putting the food on the counters for them to grab a serving, but they still can't. I've reset them, the fr...

Could you please provide the following information

-  Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
-  Does it work if you delete all the leftovers and create new ones ?

The only mod/cc I use is a CAS background, but nothing like this has happened before with it active. This issue suddenly started last night.
