Can't travel to other neighborhoods

I have been lucky to never have any big issues with the Sims 4 until recently. I have been playing my game on a gaming laptop for a year now. The laptop is up to date on updates and has plenty of storage. Every since I have started claiming the daily log in rewards, I have been unable to travel outside of my Sims neighborhood. I click the telephone to travel and select a lot on my neighborhood and I can travel fine. However, I have a sim in university and tried to travel to Brichester to attend a guest lecture and the loading screen just kept loading and I had to go to task manager to exit my game. Then I tried again with Henford Badgedly and that neighborhood did the same thing. I deleted my cache forms, repaired my game on the EA app, and made sure my laptop was up to date. I am not sure how to fix this issue and I never had it until I claimed the daily log in rewards.
