Would there be anyway to make packs dedicated to costumes and accessories you'd see Sims wear at a costume party, masquerade or Halloween? I know there is the Spooky Stuff Pack and there are some cos...
@Player_jp5s5eav, I love some of your ideas! ❤️ For the packs (like the Mascot Pack) that you can't think of any furniture or especially Build Mode items to go along with it, I'm sure EA would have to make those a free download (like for Halloween, or as an Anniversary, or Fan Appreciation Day).
Several years ago there was a Sims Medieval Game that was separate from the Sims games.❤️ It was great! I think many people would love a Medieval pack!
The Circus pack would be more risky since the most famous one (Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily Circus) has ended due to pressure from animal rights groups. As for the Tragic Clown costume already in the game, that was a free gift for a Sims Anniversary a few years ago... but the base game came with some different clown costumes and hats that don'tcause everyone to get a Sad Moodlet! 🙂
As someone who loves History, I would go crazy for any period era clothing that was offered. My favorite periods are Victorian and the 1980's, but they all are wonderful !
The Costume Party Pack is a versatile idea and has many good options ( I want to be a Ballerina!) , with the only difficult one being the iconic movie characters since those might be copy righted by the different movie studios. We do kind of have one iconic movie character from a silent movie that only has a few clips still existing ... that would be the Vampire Sim called count Vladisaus Staud IV (Vlad for short) whose dark form is inspired by the Vampire "Nosferatu" from the silent movie!
I understand about not wanting to use CC. It does often look different from the actual game's content which can be jarring. Plus, it often conflicts with the actual game's content, causing many problems! That's why I don't use it anymore -- I haven't since The Sims 3!
The top 2 pictures at the beginning of this post, as well as the very last picture at the bottom of this post are from the base game clown costumes, except the hair. The 2 pictures in the middle are from the Tragic Clown set that was given to us later! Also, all the hats are from the base game. I think the shoes came from the base game, but I can't remember. This family is my La Rue family found in the Gallery! 🥳
Yeah, I could see the risky part with a Circus pack. I mainly thought of that because I recently saw a Circus Challenge someone brought up. Though, yeah, the whole clown mention was due to the interesting fact that though the game provides two different style types, I've actually seen people who want to make cheerful clowns using the Tragic Clown garb, because they don't like the other one. 🤨 Why? The color difference? One is a jumpsuit and the other is some suspender combo? One has a frilly collar and the other has a bow-tie? I dunno. I guess clown lovers have their favorite types like how dog lovers have their favorite types. XP
Costume Party - yeah, I actually have a character who I'd like to put in a ballet costume, but I could only find Dark Swan inspired ones in CC, plain ol' leotards with maybe a sheer skirt rather than a tutu, and there was one... but the style wasn't what I had in mind for the character. No bother though, I couldn't find party costumes for the rest of them. One would have been dressed as an old school soldier, like the kind you think of when it comes to the Nutcracker play or old windup toys with those one shot rifles. I found one CC that sort of fit the look, but the rest of the costumes I was looking for were nonexistent.
Ah, with the idea of costumes of iconic movie characters, I added in that thought due to there being Star Wards themed stuff, so I figured there are probably other movie characters EA might be able to do without copyright infringement. Though, in the main concept, I could see things easily done like who you mentioned the Sims Vladisaus Staud IV. You'd have a vampire based costume, a Sims mummy concept, a Sims reanimated monster (Frankenstein's monster) concept, a Sims wolf man concept... 'Not too different from how Halloween Costume stores do costumes that are inspired, but not direct replica's of horror novel/movie greats.
@Player_jp5s5eav, I see what you mean! They wanted a happy clown like Ronald McDonald or Krusty the Klown from The Simpsons , or even Bozo the Clown. 😇
Ah yes, the mummy and wolf man could be easily done since they've done them before. 🙂 In TS3 they had mummies (you met them when you traveled to Egypt if you had the Adventure pack). They have had Werewolves before too, I think in TS2 if I remember correctly. They also had Bigfoot in TS2 who liked to wear a Bowler hat of all things! 😃 :eahigh_file: I suppose they still could do a non-animal circus with just the tightrope walkers, strongmen, bearded ladies, ring master, trapeze artists, ect. and could call it a carnival instead. They could also have cotton candy (fairy floss in some countries) and Ferris wheels along with midway games like knocking down targets , the hall of mirrors, or the one where you swing a hammer to try to ring a bell. And a carousel / merry go round! 🥳 They had something like this in TS1 in the Makin' Magic EP that was combined with Witches so there was real supernatural magic and the slight-of-hand kind of magic.❤️ But it would have to be animal free to avoid controversy. { Although, they could still add horses and birds, lizards, hamsters, in another pack like they did with Cats & Dogs! 😉 }
